Story
Scout is a very lovable German shepherd pup. He enjoys being outside, belly rubs, and lots of treats. He requires a lot of attention as he has separation anxiety. He would love someone to be home with him for the majority of the day to give him endless belly rubs. He will need to be fed in his kennel as he has slight food aggression. He would also do best in a home with older kids who don’t drop food on the ground, as he will immediately run over to get it as he is a “vacuum.” He loves being called “Scout pout” and loves when you ask him “would you like a Bewwy Wub” Scout is working on kennel training and will give you those big puppy dog eyes and try to hide on you when you need to put him to bed. He is also working on being friendly with other dogs. Most importantly scout has a big heart. It is easy to become his best friend. If you are looking for a lovable forever friend please get to know Scout. This pet is microchipped, spayed/neutered & up to date on vaccinations. The adoption fee is $500. Story
Hi, I’m Bing Crosby—a 70 lb, 6-year-old German Shepherd/Lab mix! I may be six, but I’ve got the energy of about ten puppies. Whether I’m flopping over for belly rubs or chasing my favorite orange Chuck-it ball, I always try to brighten up the room.I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and I know how to sit, stay, wait, and leave it. I thrive on routine, but I also love the occasional snack…cheese, bacon, and peanut butter are my top picks. If you like cooking at home, just a heads-up: I’ll give you my best puppy-dog eyes until you cave and toss me a little piece of grilled chicken. I’m looking for a home where I can be part of the action, whether that’s morning walks, fetch, or…more fetch! And when the day winds down, I’m happy to curl up next to you on the bed or couch and snooze.I tend to get nervous around young kids, so I’d do best in a home without them. But I absolutely love playing with adults and other dogs of any size! I’m hoping to find an awesome family who’ll let me be their loyal, goofy companion.--------------------------------------------"I'll be home for Christmas!" For applications received now through 12/31/2025, Warrior Dog Rescue is reducing the adoption fee of all pups. This is reflected in the adoption fee shown below. All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedure completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $250To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
*Stella Jane’s adoption fee has been sponsored thanks to a generous donor*Meet Stella Jane – Your Perfect Cuddle Companion!Who has four paws, the softest fur, and the sweetest soul? It’s me, Stella Jane! 🐾💛My absolute favorite things in the world are cuddling on the couch with my foster mom and dad, playing with my foster dog siblings, and gathering all my favorite toys and bones in my special spot. If your idea of a perfect day includes binge-watching Netflix or cheering on your favorite team, then I’m the girl for you!Since arriving in Minnesota, I’ve been discovering just how wonderful life can be. My foster family has shown me love, comfort, and patience, and I know my perfect forever home is out there waiting. I’d love a home with another dog who can be my buddy and help me continue to build my confidence. I do best in a quieter home with teenagers or adults, as I’m not the biggest fan of the energy that comes with younger kids.If you’re looking for a sweet, loving companion to share cozy moments with, I’d love to meet you! 💕--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ginger is a sweet old lady dog (12) just looking for a place to relax and lounge her days away. She likes to take in the occasional stroll around the block, with or without you, she is not picky. But she will generally settle for a little jaunt around the back yard before spending the afternoon sunning in her favorites spot, a pile of newly disturbed dirt. If you enjoy gardening, she'll find you plenty of new spots for those petunias.  When she comes in for the day she enjoys lounging on a nice fluffy dog bed, the couch, your bed; whatever you find most comfortable. Her other hobbies include chewing on a new squeaky toy until it doesn't squeak, nibbing on her stuffies until their appendages are missing & looking for people food that might be accessible to her. Ginger enjoys the company of other dogs & cats as long as she can make an exit quietly if things get loud or too rambunctious for her liking. She also does great with kids in the same regards, and prefers to enjoy their presence from a distance when the volume & activity gets turned up to much. Ginger doesn't mind taking in a nap away from her people or lounging in the basement, but she prefers to know they are in the house. She gets a little panicked when she's alone which results in household destruction. That fear carries over when she is crated as well, so she'd do best in an household where someone is home with her on a regular basis.   Ginger has previously tested positive for lymes, which is a chronic health condition that can cause flare ups & may need to be treated with antibiotics over time. The flareup symptoms we have witnessed are decreased appitite, lethargy & diarrhea. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Story
Koda was adopted in Wasilla, Alaska by a military family with children (ages ranging from 0-1 year old). Koda along with his family relocated to Minnesota this year and unfortunately his family is too busy with their schedule for him. He needs a family that can meet his needs of playing outside with a fenced in yard, going on long walks, and giving him all the attention he desires. Koda loves children, however at times gets too excited doesn’t realize how big he is at times and may push a child over. He’s been gradually getting better at handling his excitement. It is recommended he have a new owner that is willing to take the time to work on his manners.
