Story
Scout is a very lovable German shepherd pup. He enjoys being outside, belly rubs, and lots of treats. He requires a lot of attention as he has separation anxiety. He would love someone to be home with him for the majority of the day to give him endless belly rubs. He will need to be fed in his kennel as he has slight food aggression. He would also do best in a home with older kids who don’t drop food on the ground, as he will immediately run over to get it as he is a “vacuum.” He loves being called “Scout pout” and loves when you ask him “would you like a Bewwy Wub” Scout is working on kennel training and will give you those big puppy dog eyes and try to hide on you when you need to put him to bed. He is also working on being friendly with other dogs. Most importantly scout has a big heart. It is easy to become his best friend. If you are looking for a lovable forever friend please get to know Scout. This pet is microchipped, spayed/neutered & up to date on vaccinations. The adoption fee is $500. Story
Rita is a 3-4 year old German Shepherd mix that weighs 58 pounds. She loves people and enjoys going for walks. She knows "sit" and "shake" and is eager to please for treats. She has lived with cats, but is a little too curious/bothersome for cats so she is looking for a home without cats. Rita likes other dogs but would do well being the only dog in her home. She does not need to be crated and has good house manners. Rita is fully vetted, spayed, and ready for a home. Her adoption fee is $375 to help cover some of her vetting costs. She is such a sweet girl and an easy dog to have in the house. Story
My name is Blitz and I'm SO HAPPY to meet you! I love all people, regardless of shape, size or smell. I also love other dogs and desperately want them to play with me! Sometimes I get a little too excited to meet them, so I still need a little reminder to read social cues and understand when they don't want to play anymore. I've also tried to play with cats, guinea pigs, and chickens (they all turned me down, but boy am I interested in them!)I'm a big boy, so I'm learning new skills every day to make sure that I don't overwhelm people with my love. I'm really smart, and really REALLY food motivated, so I'm easy to train. I love my kennel, and I sleep in there every night without issue. I'm totally house-trained, and I let my people know when I need to go outside by tapping on the door. I am good on a leash and in the car; as long as I'm with my pack, I'm happy to do whatever! I do take a daily medication for a quirky condition I have, but I take my pills easily and without problem. This doesn't affect my quality of life AT ALL, and the doctors say that as long as I take my daily (affordable) meds, I will live a long happy, and healthy life. Do you want to snuggle? Watch movies? Go for a run? Sit outside for hours? I'm up for all of that! I just want a family that I can share my surplus of love with! Is that you? Let's find out! --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hello! I am Jonathan. I have made my journey here to Minnesota to find a family of my very own. I was found on the side of the road in Alabama with severely burned paws. An amazing family took me in and got me feeling much, much better! I currently live in a home with my foster mom and dad, 2 human kids, 4 other dogs (both big and small) and a cat. I LOVE playing in my yard with the other dogs! I am still trying to get used to my kennel, to be honest it really isn’t my favorite thing in the world. I will go in there when my foster mom gives me treats but I will usually bark and cry. Thankfully, my foster mom and dad have been letting me sleep on the couch or my dog bed at night so I only have to be in the kennel when they’re at work. I also love to snuggle with my foster mom… she keeps telling me that I’m the biggest lap dog she’s ever had, whatever that means. I am fully housebroken. I will usually whine and pace to let you know I need to go outside. I am working on my leash etiquette, I always forget that I am a big boy and it’s not very comfortable for my foster mom or me when I pull. Any who, that’s enough about me for now, I’d love to meet you and get to know you! You should contact Warrior Dog Rescue to set up a meeting with my foster momma and me so we can chat more! See you soon!Jonathan is Heartworm positive and is waiting for a negative test result which can take 2-9 months after treatment. His treatment has been completed and he will need a Heartworm test every 2 months to follow up on his treatment progress until he has a negative result. During these months, you will need to make sure his heart rate is not elevated due to high energy play or exercise. Jonathan will also need continued use of monthly Heartworm prevention going forward. These medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Hi there! My name is Kate and I'm happy to meet you!I just got here from Alabama and so far it's been pretty great! Some wonderful people found me in Alabama when I was left in a too small crate without food or water. I was so cramped in there I had a hard time walking when they found me but I'm totally fine now! You would never know I had that rough start because I'm such a happy, sweet girl now. Some cool things about me:I'm doing great at taking care of my business outside!I love meeting and playing with other dogs!I love people, I have only met a few kids but have been great with themToys are so much fun and I am good at entertaining myself when my foster mom is working.I'm a great snuggler!I am very treat and food motivated, and have already mastered sitting for treats and my meals! My foster family says I'm so sweet and pretty amazing but I'm looking for a forever family of my own. I know if you met me, you'd fall in love!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.
