Hi! My name is Gobbler, and I am from Minnesota! Gobbler was found as a stray and underweight just before Thanksgiving. He is a gentle dog that has shown his sweet disposition as he’s found that people are loving and treat him well. He is very friendly and loves to meet new people and play with other dogs. He likes to play with his toys, enjoys the snow, and loves running on the frozen lake. But his most favorite thing is just being near you. He will sit at your feet while you cook and get ready in the morning. He loves to cuddle up next to you (or on top of you) on the couch. If he’s touching you or you’re touching him, he’s happy. He is potty trained and crate trained. He sleeps soundly through the night in his crate with no whining. Some barking if he sees people outside but otherwise a very quiet dog. He is very food motivated as he is still underweight. He can get mouthy when he is excited and when you have food. He will jump up and nip a little when excited. We are working on keeping our mouth shut but he has never bit or snapped at anyone with aggressive intent. He is very smart and picks up on new tricks quickly and obeys commands pretty well. He would be great with someone who is active and likes being outdoors. He does great off leash and will stay close as long as he doesn’t see another dog he can go play with.
