From her foster: Chica is a sweet little girl who loves to curl up in your arms to snuggle on the couch. She is very intelligent and is quick to pick up new commands. She will beg for your attention when she really wants it. We have one resident dog and two resident cats, she is fine with both. She doesn't bother the cats too much and sometimes will be curious about them, but for the most part, she doesn't acknowledge them. She is currently being kenneled during the day while we are at work and during the night sleeps in her own queen bed with a baby gate at the door. We do not know how she is with small children as we do not have any in our home. Chica has separation anxiety issues and is currently on medication to assist with her anxiety. While we have no problems getting her into the kennel (for the most part she puts herself in the kennel), once we start to leave the house is when she starts to panic by wailing, howling, and barking. She did escape her previous kennel a couple of times and we now have her in a much more durable kennel. Chica has not escaped the new kennel. She is also experiencing separation anxiety when we are out in the yard and she is inside.

Hi, my name is Dora. I am from a local MN shelter. Dora is a sweet and bold girl! She is curious, playful, and enjoys a day full of adventure (unless it has to do with water, she's still exploring if she loves it or not)! She loves to be with her human friends! She does well with our resident dog (she has not been introduced to other dogs yet, but slow intros would be best for her). She is curious about our cat and with continued positive interactions, she could do well. She is vocal when she is nervous and she does not like her kennel (when in it, she does bark a lot). She is a puppy and will benefit from continuous positivie training with behavior but with positive reinforcments, she will do well. She is working on her potty training and doing really well! She will stand by the door to let us know when its time to go out. She knows sit and working on shake. Dora is the absolute best girl who will follow you on any adventure. She loves to please and is food motivated. She loves to play fetch and loves to run in our fenced in yard!

Hi! Momma Mimosa here! I recently arrived in Minnesota when my Brunch Litter puppies were just a few days old. I was found in a woodpile with my day old puppies and two kind souls drove down to pick us up. I love to be around people and have been such a sweet girl to everyone I have met! I love my babies and am such a good momma but I am looking for a place to call my own now that they are grown. Toys are new for me but I love them, especially ones that squeak! Right now I have a collection of them on my bed!I just want to be your cuddle buddy and spend time by your side! I am learning the art of walking on leash and am doing my best to master it but it is going to take some time! What do you say, can we meet? I'm sure we will become fast friends!***FOSTER TO ADOPT***Mimosa is Heartworm positive and not yet spayed. She will soon start her Heartworm treatment. Once her treatment is complete, and her spay is done, the adoption can be finalized. Once her adoption is finalized, it is the responsibility of the adoptive family to get a Heartworm test every 2 months to follow up on her treatment progress until she has a negative result which can take 2-9 months. She is going to 5 months old beginning of May. Kadence, is a sweet puppy! She loves to be outside and run. She is great around other animals! Always wants to play. She is good with kids but always think they are playing with her even when they aren’t. She doesn’t understand space! Will lay right on top of you! I want her to go to a good home. I am not home enough to give this beautiful puppy the time she needs to be outside. I work so much she is mostly in her kennel most of the day. I am a gorgeous, sweet, and very kind albeit shy adult female German Shepherd. Truth be told, I am afraid of pretty much everything in this enormous world from commotion to loud noises like thunderstorms so a fenced yard is a must. Additionally, I am looking for a VERY special fur-ever family who is lovingly patient and will NEVER give up on me! I have not met any cats or kids, but I am good with other dogs and will need another large dog who will help me feel comfortable and secure! I don’t play much but I’m a smart girl who knows what “go potty” means and I’m potty & leash trained. As for the kennel/crate, foster mom doesn’t put me in that cave because I am an amazingly good girl who simply lays in her bedroom, she can even shut the door if she wants to because I feel safe in there. I am very slowly learning what it’s like to feel safe and loved. In fact, I have become comfortable enough with foster mom that I greet her in the morning by putting my head right next to hers while I patiently await lovingly gentle head scratches! Hint, hint!
