Story

Remi was rescued from Texas and is a smart, affectionate, food motivated dog who learns quickly. She can be anxious around children. She has become comfortable with our kids and has never bitten anyone, but she will growl at unfamiliar children who come into our home. For this reason, we believe she would be happiest in an adult only home. Remi also does not do well with cats, so a cat free home would be best. She does, however, love other dogs. She enjoys playing with them, and we have never observed her having a negative or aggressive interaction with another dog. Overall, Remi is a wonderful dog who would thrive in a calm, structured home without children or cats, where she can receive plenty of attention, play, and continued training.

Story

I’m Jax, a 7-year-old Shepherd mix with legs for days and a personality that wins people over in seconds. I adore everyone I meet — seriously, everyone — and I’ve lived happily with little kids (ages 2, 3, and 4). I’m gentle, patient, and always up for a cuddle or a game. I’m also great with other dogs, whether we’re playing, lounging, or exploring together. Cats? I haven’t met any yet, so I’m still figuring out how I feel about them. I’m a total sweetheart, but I do have one quirk: if you open a door without paying attention, I might slip out for a spontaneous adventure. I don’t mean any harm — I just love exploring. A fenced yard or someone who keeps an eye on me would be perfect. If you’re looking for a loving, goofy, loyal companion who’s ready to join your family and maybe steal your heart (and occasionally your open doorway), I’m your guy.

Story

Hi there! My name is Davey and I am a 6-year-old male Shepherd mix. I was saved from a high kill shelter in South Carolina and have been in search of my forever family ever since. So, if you are looking for an outgoing and affectionate companion, then I’m your boy. With Davey, what you see is what you get – a friendly and playful boy who loves everyone he meets. He will never turn down games of fetch, taking adventurous walks, or just lounging around while receiving belly rubs. Davey adores his humans and is up for anything, as long as he gets to spend time with you. Davey is a pack dog at heart and does well with most dogs he meets when given the proper introductions. You should also know that Davey is a great traveler and rides well in the car, so taking him along on outings is a breeze. He is also house trained and knows commands like sit, shake, down, and come. We love Davey very much and we want more than anything for him to find his forever family. So, if you are a “pro” at giving belly rubs and are searching for a big hearted and loyal companion, then our sweet Davey is your boy. What are you waiting for?

Story

Hello! My name is Milton and I am quickly learning what it means to feel LOVED! My foster family cannot get enough of me 😊I will tell you though, I do really love my buddy Melvin. He and I went through a lot these past couple of years so it would be beyond amazing if he and I can spend the rest of our lives together….with you! Even though I love him so much I am loving all this human affection I am receiving. Like seriously, I can’t get enough! I find that I’m loving the simple things in life: treats, toys, walks, and snuggles! At 82lbs, my foster mom says I’m a chill guy and pretty easy to please! I sleep in my kennel at night. I kinda feel like that’s my special place just for me. My buddy Melvin just sleeps in his dog bed next to me. I feel safe and loved!I hope you are ready for double the snuggles and double the love! Melvin and I are ready to give that the rest of our lives. Are you that special person?Milton is heartworm positive and is awaiting a negative test result. His treatment has been completed but he is not due for his retest yet. He will need a microfilaria test one month after treatment. Once he has a negative microfilaria test, he will not need to be on exercise restrictions. All medical needs will be the responsibility of the adoptive family.--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Total Adoption Fee - $600 for Milton and Melvin - Bonded PairTo apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/
