Note that we said yes to Hani without a foster because he was at risk of euthanasia otherwise. He's currently slated to be living in our office, which is no place for a guy like him. Hi, my name is Niki and I am from Missouri! Meet Niki, your future best friend! 💙 This sweet, gentle guy is the definition of an easygoing companion. He loves affection and happily soaks up pets, hugs, kind words, and quiet time with his favorite people. Niki is incredibly gentle when taking treats and has wonderful manners around the house—he doesn't even need a kennel! While he may be a little shy when meeting new people, he warms up quickly and forms loyal, loving bonds. Daily walks are the highlight of his day, especially when he gets to stop and sniff all the interesting smells along the way. He's currently enjoying a couple of leisurely walks each day as he works on getting into tip-top shape. Niki would thrive with someone looking for a calm, devoted companion to share cozy evenings, neighborhood strolls, and plenty of love. From the vet: At one of Niki's recent veterinary visits, a mass on his prepuce was noted. A sample was collected and it was determined that the mass was a low grade mast cell tumor. Complete lab work and chest radiographs have been completed to ensure there is no metastasis or spread of this mass, and all results came back clear. Surgery has been performed to remove this mass and we were able to completely excise the mass with clean margins. Surgery for this mass is curative, however as Niki ages he should be monitored for any formation of new masses. At this time, Niki is medically cleared and is a happy, healthy boy ready to live his golden years with his forever family.

Hi, my name is Lazlo and I am from Arkansas! Lazlo is a friendly guy with lots of love to give! He loves to cuddle with you on the couch and has a funny mooing noise when he wants attention. He is great on the leash and social with people and other dogs. He has fun puppy energy and loves to play. He has been friendly with our small breed dog and with large breed dogs. He would be happy either as a well loved only dog or would be great with another doggy friend. We have not had him around cats so not sure how he would do but could possibly be fine. Lazlo does not bark much and has been a very easy foster. He has been very easy to train and is learning lots of commands. He already knows sit, touch and lay down, and we are working on stay and shake. From the Vet: Lazlo is being evaluated by The BB Rescue Medical Team for a mass on his elbow, once we have more information about the mass we will update this bio and be able to provide more info about the mass and/or if it needs to be removed.

Hi my name is Oakley and I am from Arkansas! Oakley is a playful pup with other dogs and entertains herself when alone. She has had only one accident in 8 days! Learns commands quickly with treats. Learning to come without cowering without treats. She is respectful to my older dog and doesn’t pester when he is done playing. Oakley sleeps through the night at the end of my bed. She is fine in a kennel when I leave her for 3-4 hours. Chews everything, including insects, but is easily distracted by an a appropriate toy. If I could, I would love to keep her. Oakley is joy!

Caspar is a sweet, loyal, and gentle Shepherd mix who is looking for a home where he can continue to thrive. He is smart, house trained, good with other dogs. He knows several commands and is very responsive to his people. He even seems to understand more than we realize! Caspar can be a little jumpy and has a noticeable startle response to unexpected noises or movements. We recommend a Shepherd-savvy home, one without children who have friends coming and going frequently, as he does have some reservations about new people at first. Once he is comfortable, Caspar is very gentle and affectionate. He is generally pretty quiet, enjoys spending time with his people, and loves playing in water. He also enjoys being brushed, which is a good thing because this handsome boy sheds quite a bit and will need regular brushing. Caspar is a wonderful, fun-loving companion who would do best with a family that understands Shepherds and can appreciate his loyal, sensitive nature. He is not quite a brewery-dog type, but he would love a home where he can relax, bond with his people, and enjoy life by their side.
