Story
Location: St Paul, MN What to know about Bethany and her search for a forever pack: 1. She’s super gentle with humans and our cats. Our two cats are not afraid of her in the least. If my boys were still young, preschool age and up, I wouldn’t hesitate to have her around them. She’s a sweet dog, not mean at all. 2. She doesn’t bark. The only time she barks is if she literally senses danger. She’ll protect you and your family, I have no doubt, but her default mode is being a goofy, sweet, loving dog. She’s got quite the personality. While she looks like a G Shepherd, she’s definitely a mix, you just have to meet her. She will greet you excitedly, then do a diving roll onto her back for belly rubs. 3. She’s sneakily smart as sh*t. I would never underestimate her. Her personality is a hoot. You can tell she’s a mixed breed, and the best aspects have totally come to the fore. 4. We’ve had her in our home since February. At the time she did not know how to walk on a leash in an urban environment. She’s made amazing progress, learning that no, she can’t actually climb up a tree after a squirrel. We’ve worked really hard to get her to where she is today. 5. She doesn't know how to socialize with other dogs. It’s a fear response. She gets most aggressive when startled by a dog coming into her range of vision that she didn’t expect. We’ve worked with her, using treats and praise to “leave it.” Squirrel, chipmunk, rabbit, person walking along the sidewalk, and any dogs we encounter on our walks. She’s totally food-motivated, and smart as heck. I’m so proud of her. 6. Our neighborhood is full of dogs, and she’s made so much progress. It’s not that she’s aggressive, it’s a fear response. I can share an anecdote that clearly displays why we believe that to be the case. 7. Bethany deserves a forever home full of love, owners who will challenge her mentally. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Northfield, MN Hi Everybody. I am Payton. I am a Shephard mix. I am fully potty trained, however, I do have an occasional accident when I get excited to see you. I do not require a kennel and can have free roam of the house when my fosters aren’t home. I will be 2 years old in September. My foster mom says I am the sweetest girl ever. I love sleeping with her and my foster dad. I like to be close to my humans. I do like to drag my foster mom’s stuff to the living room when she isn’t home. I don’t damage anything, I just like to have her shoes and shirts near me. I think they make me feel safe. I have gone to the dog wash and have had my nails clipped and done good at both. I love to snuggle and give kisses. We are still working on my jumping habit. I just get so excited to see you that I jump to let you know I’m there. I am getting better, but still have work to do. I’m not real sure what I think of other dogs yet. There is an old man dog (small) that comes to visit. I don’t mind having him around. But when his lab brother comes over, I tend to growl at him. I am not sure why he bothers me. I will say that he is starting to grow on me a little. The other day I even played with him. But I am still not a big fan of his. I will play with a toy once in a while, but I can’t seem to find one I really like. I live out in the country now and love it. Lots of room to explore. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Onyx is a beautiful 1 to 1 and a half (estimated) German Shepard and black lab mix. He is around 55 pounds, making him a great medium sized dog. Onyx was found abandoned in the woods by a previous owner. A family found him, but could not keep him, so I stepped in to foster him. Unfortunately, Onyx does not do well with cats hence why we have to rehome him so soon. Onyx truly is the sweetest dog, and so well behaved for his past and his age. He is fully potty and crate trained and has been doing amazing with obedience and leash training. He absolutely loves children and other dogs. (I haven’t tried him with little dogs.) He rarely barks. His favorite activity is running around so a fence would be preferred but he has been doing great with just long walks everyday. He is truly a special pup and I would adopt him if I could. Everyone who has met Onyx has fell in love with him, he’s kind of a celebrity at my workplace! Could you give this pup a good home?

Story
Hans is a beautiful, loyal, and loving German Shepherd with a heart full of energy and devotion. Hans been a wonderful dog, but with a little one at home (and another on the way), we are no longer able to give him the attention, space, and exercise he truly needs and deserves. His high energy and strength, especially when he gets excited, have made us realize we cannot safely meet his needs while keeping our babies safe. We are looking for a home where Hans can thrive - ideally with someone experienced with high-energy breeds, who has the time and space to help him live his best life. A rehoming fee of $300 OBO applies to ensure he goes to a responsible, committed home. Hans is 2.5 years old, neutered, house trained, microchipped, and we are located in Waconia, MN. If you or someone you trust might be a good fit, please message me.
