She lives with cats and gets along with one, but conflict with the other has led us to make the difficult decision to find her a new home. Meet Arnold & Gilbert 🤎🤍 These two handsome middle-aged boys were found wandering the streets together, relying on each other for comfort and survival. Now they’re safe with us… but they’re still waiting for their forever family. Arnold is a bit shy and looks to his best buddy Gilbert for reassurance. Gilbert is his confidence boost, his safety blanket, his person in dog form. 🐶❤️🐶 They are a bonded pair who truly deserve a calm, patient home that will give them the time they need to feel safe and loved. Tootsie is a beautiful middle aged gal. She was found as a stray in a neighboring community. She is estimated to be between 5-7 years old and if she could talk she`d say she is in the prime of her life! Her breed(s) are unknown but she appears to have some bird dogs in her lineage. She`s a perfect 51 lbs. and has a wash & wear coat!Tootsie is pretty firm in her beliefs. She absolutely loves chasing the ball and running with her foster dad. She absolutely wishes cats did not exist. Tootsie absolutely believes humans are better than any other reward on the planet. Tootsie, also, absolutely does not want to share her home with any other canines.Tootsie can be made to appear as if she a handful, a problem, questionable. When she first came to us we were concerned about all of these things. But we know one thing. Tootsie craves praise and adoration from her people, and she has proven that day after day. She wants this. It is an incredible thing to witness a dog shed the old persona and try a new one on, especially a reactive dog. She`s not always going to get it right, so she needs people that will continue to have her back and not try to make her something she is not. Tootsie needs to be the only pet in the home. She has made huge improvements and is now comfortable walking past and casually being around other dogs in passing. Beyond that she is an easy keeper. Want to go for a long hike? She`s your gal! Feeling like a couch day? She`s got the snacks. Tootsie is going to love her new humans with every fiber of her being. Ruby is a sweet, loving Golden Retriever who is looking for her forever home! She is gentle and affectionate with people and has all the classic Golden Retriever qualities we love: playful, silly, cuddly, and convinced she’s a lap dog. Ruby loves going for walks, playing fetch with her favorite tennis ball, enjoying treats and ice, and joining her humans on adventures. She has lots of energy and does well in the car, making her a fun companion for an active person or family. She knows basic commands including sit, stay, come, lie down, and go potty. Ruby can be timid and jumpy when she is in a new or unfamiliar place. She is fearful of loud noises and lots of commotion, so she will do best with patient people who can give her time to feel safe and comfortable in her new surroundings. She also barks in her crate and can take some time to settle down. When Ruby gets really excited, she sometimes has so much energy that she doesn’t know what to do with herself! She may bark out of excitement, and occasionally her own bark surprises her. It’s just part of her goofy, endearing personality. An important note: Ruby is not good with other dogs and will need to be the only dog in her forever home. She would thrive with a loving person or family who understands her needs and is willing to help her build confidence at her own pace. Ruby is incredibly loving and gentle, and she has the potential to be a wonderful, loyal companion and protector. Once she trusts you, she will happily be by your side—and probably in your lap, too! Lacy is a sweet, playful and curious 3 month old golden retriever mix and is looking for her forever home. She’s your typical puppy, full of energy and curiosity, with lots of learning still to do, but she is making great progress and picking things up quickly! Lacy loves people and enjoys being close to and interacting with her humans. She loves giving kisses and following her foster parents around the house to see what they’re up to (especially if it involves making food). She’s a playful girl who enjoys all kinds of toys, and when she’s ready for some downtime, she loves chewing on bones and treat puzzle toys. Lacy is also a very smart and food-motivated girl. She responds well to training and knows sit, lay down, and kennel up.  She enjoys playing with other dogs and is excited to have canine friends around. Like most puppies her age, she is still learning appropriate play manners. She is in the phase where she likes to nibble hands, clothes and just about anything she can reach. She’s learning that people aren’t chew toys and is working on redirecting that puppy energy toward toys and chews.  Lacy is also still building confidence when she encounters new people, sounds or things in her environment. She may bark when something catches her off guard or she isn’t quite sure about it, but she typically warms up quickly once she realizes everything is okay. She is doing really well with her crate and potty training! Lacy sleeps quietly in her crate overnight without accidents. During the day, she spends a few hours at a time in her play pen without accidents. She is continuing to learn potty training and does well throughout the rest of the house when given frequent potty breaks and appropriate supervision. Overall, Lacy is an affectionate and playful puppy who loves being part of the action. She has a fun, curious personality and is already showing how smart and eager to learn she is. Meet Cooper — A Sweet Senior With a Young-at-Heart Spirit! 🐾 Cooper is back in RAGOM land and ready to find his forever home! At 11 years old, this handsome guy is playful, affectionate, smart, and surprisingly energetic for a senior. Cooper is deaf with very limited hearing, but that hasn’t slowed him down. He quickly learned hand signals for commands like “come,” “sit,” and “go,” and he’s a very eager student. He loves his people, enjoys snuggling, playing fetch, swimming in the lake, and even going for golf cart rides! Cooper does have arthritis, but with medication and shorter walks, he’s moving comfortably and enjoying life. He also deals with seasonal allergies, but medication helps keep symptoms under control. He can be mouthy and excitable during play, so children 15+, who understand his boundaries would be the best fit. He has also shown some reactivity toward other dogs while on leash. His ideal home would be a quiet country setting with a fenced yard where he can safely explore. Most of all, Cooper needs a family committed to making this his forever home—a place where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love, companionship, and plenty of fun.
