She is a fan favorite wherever she goes. Stella enters a room with grace and utter joy. She wants to spread love to all who she encounters with hugs and kisses. She likes being around other dogs, going for walks and car rides and chewing on all toys. She goes into her crate with no hesitation; however, she has already earned free roam in her foster home. She can be a bit skittish about going through doors and when hearing loud noises. She loves her couch and even more so with a human by her side. She is housebroken and knows how to sit nicely for treats. She is truly a lovely girl with a big heart. Unfortunately, since Stella came from the south, she is heartworm positive. Although unfortunate, it can be treated, and the rescue will walk her adopter through the process. All medications and treatment will be covered by the rescue. Potential adopters will speak to a member of our medical team about treatment, prior to adoption. All applicants should be within a 50 mile radius of our rescue. A few years ago, this sweet girl was found dumped along the fence of our rescue! She was skin and bones and needed immediate help, so we named her MayDay. Our best guess is she around 6 or 7 years old and a Great Dane/ Staffshire terrier mix. She is very gentle, loves people, and really enjoys car rides. Mayday gets along with males, but is not very playful with other dogs. She would do best as the only fur baby in the home. Since she has been a kennel dog her whole life, MayDay is not pot trained so she will need a family who understands that. This dear girl would love a chance to live out her days in the comfort of a home with a family who will love her! Hello world, my name is Agatha! I am a 10 month old Great Dane girlie and I'm doing my best to learn how to be a dog over here in my foster home. So far, so good! I like the other dogs and I will need a dog friend in my forever home who can keep showing me how to live the good life! I think I'd probably be fine with cats, too. I like the older kids I've met and I think I'd also like little ones! I am working on my puppy training but my forever family will need to keep working with me since my foster fam says I don't have "manners" yet, whatever those are. I am happy to report that I'm doing well in my crate, and I'm working on potty training but I need frequent trips outside. I'm getting the hang of it though, I promise! I am already potty and crate trained, though my foster momma says she doesn't need to crate me when she leaves the house because I enjoy lounging in my bed or on the couch until she returns (this life of luxury thing is amazing!) My dream home will include a big family and another dog or two, a fenced yard so I can play with my pals and lounge in the sun. I am pretty low energy overall and do not need a lot of exercise, so an occasional walk would be fine but I am not going to be your marathon training buddy haha! I could use some extra work on my leash walking skills; I was likely previously chained up in my prior life so I am extra alert of my surroundings on walks and can be protective of the other dog in my foster home when we are strolling the neighborhood. Fetching Tails requires adopters of young dogs like me to sign us up for training classes, and I am a quick learner (especially when treats are involved - I am very food motivated!) so I think we will have a great time learning new skills together and seeing how great a family pet I can be!
