Rex is a 6 month old puppy, he was born February 17th, 2026. He was given to me as a gift. He is a fast growing, boy. He has lots of energy but is well mannered as far as I was able to train him. He's playful and silly. He's good with dogs and cats. Only been around kids from a far since I yet have been able to feel confident he won't jump on them from excitement. I am hoping a new home for Rex will have the time and space to keep him happy and comfortable, and to continue training him.

Hi, I’m Ursa Marie! I’m around four years old, best guess, and a Great Pyrenees/Poodle mix. My coat leans more Poodle, so I’m not a heavy shedder. I prefer to leave an impression on your heart rather than your sofa. I’m a very sweet, gentle girl with a heart of gold. I can be shy in new surroundings, but a little patience and affection help me find my courage. Once I feel comfortable, I’m happy to soak up all the love you have to offer. Another friendly, confident dog in my new home would be wonderful - a buddy to show me the ropes and reassure me that the world isn’t quite so scary. A securely fenced yard is required, since I can get nervous at times. I walk nicely on a leash, although loud noises, especially motorcycles, sometimes stop me in my tracks. Apparently, nobody told motorcycles about using their indoor voices. I’m healthy, trained, and good with kids. My foster thinks I may do well with cats, too, although that hasn’t been confirmed. There isn’t an ounce of meanness in me, just a tender spirit looking for a safe place to blossom. Could you be my forever person? I’ll bring the beautiful curls and the heart of gold. Story

This handsome Great Pyrenees mix is 7 months old and weighs about 45 pounds. He is on the skinny side, and will add a few pounds. And he will melt your heart with his eyes, personality, and the affection he will shower you with. We don't know much about his background, but do not believe he came from a great environment. He was initially reserved and apprehensive around his new foster family, as we don't think he had a good experience with people. But he quickly learned that nice people are good, and began opening his heart after only a few days. He now LOVES his belly rubs (will roll onto his back in a New York second), loves to have the back of his ears scratched, and is a great foot snuggler, a bonus as we are approaching cooler weather. He is learning to relax, and has gotten better each day at becoming more and more comfortable in this new nurturing family environment, which is not what he had known before. He is such a funny boy, still a little goofy and growing as a toddler, but an "older soul" past the crazy puppy stage. He likes playing with toys, although that's new to him and he's learning. And he's started playing with balls, both on his own and when his people want to play with him. He's still learning his potty manners, but has been a quick study with accidents happening very rarely. He does great in a crate, is very food motivated, and is good on a leash and getting better every day. He is just such a good, good boy and will be an amazing addition to some lucky family. Bondi has so much love to share, and just needs to find that family who is looking for that love. All he asks and needs is to get it back, and he will be your best friend for life. He's great with everyone - adults and kids alike - and is friendly with other dogs, but shy and wanting to be sure they are friendly with him! You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
