Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Easy-going giantMeet Thor — a loyal guardian looking for a new mission and a forever home. Thor’s family had to move on without him, but this devoted boy did everything he could to keep watch over the home, the land, and even the ducks he considered part of his “flock.” As a true working-dog type, Thor takes his role seriously and thrives when he has a purpose and people to protect. At about 4 years old and 100 lbs, Thor is a big, steady boy with a calm confidence. He does well with other dogs and is good with older, sturdy kids who can match his size and respectful energy. He’s housetrained, crate trained, and well-mannered in the home. Thor would do best with a family who understands working breeds and can give him structure, space, and a job to do—whether that’s companionship, property watching, or simply being a loyal presence by your side. In return, he offers unwavering devotion and a heart that bonds deeply to his people. Neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative, Thor is ready for his next assignment: being someone’s beloved best friend. Story

We got Summer (and her sister, Winter) from some friends who run a school for at-risk kids. Summer's parents were "therapy dogs"- Mom-Great Pyranese, Dad-American Pit. Summer and her sister Winter have never been separated so we are trying to keep them together. They spend most of their time outdoors and enjoy having freedom and space to run around. Because they are Pyranese the also sleep a good chunk of the day. Summer is highly motivated by food but she is great with kids (mine have climbed all over her, even while eating).

Story

Mario is a two-year-old, 70-pound Great Pyrenees mix that was surrendered to a shelter with another dog that got adopted. The foster says that he is a gentle soul and very sweet and calm, especially for his age. He loves people, is good with other dogs, is house trained, and is good on a leash. Although he is crate trained, they found that he does not need to be crated and is a perfect gentleman in the house. He was very frightened at first but is settling in well and gaining confidence each day. If you would like to foster to adopt Mario, please submit an application. ##2812189##

Story

Hello my name is Greta! If youre looking for a gentle soul who believes the best days are spent lounging nearby, I think we might be a perfect match. Im a pretty low-key girl. Youll usually find me napping, enjoying a tasty bowl of wet food, or patiently waiting for some head scratches (those are my favorite!). I also love being brushed, and while I enjoy being close to my people, Im not the type to climb all over you. Im happiest just hanging out by your side. I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give me a little time and my sweet personality shines through. I like to take introductions slowly, and I appreciate kind, patient humans. One thing you should know about me: I absolutely adore other animals! Ive met cats and small dogs, and I was gentle and friendly with both. On walks, I dont worry about barking dogs-I just keep doing my thing. If you already have a friendly furry family member, Id be thrilled to have a buddy to follow around and relax with. Speaking of relaxing... Im definitely more couch potato than adventure athlete. Ill go for a walk when Im in the mood, but Id much rather spend time in a fenced yard sniffing around or curled up inside after a nice nap. If your dream companion is someone who wants to hike mountains every weekend, Im probably not your girl. But if youre looking for a calm, loving best friend to share quiet days and cozy evenings with, I think youll fall in love with me. Im just a sweet, gentle giant looking for a family to love-and a comfy spot to call my own. Could that be with you?

Story

Meet Birch! Introducing Birch, an adorable 6-month-old female Pyrenees mix who is as sweet and gentle as she is beautiful! This shy little girl has a soft, docile personality and is ready to find a loving family where she can continue to grow and blossom. A Sweet Little Girl Birch came to us from a local shelter and is now ready for a fresh start. She may be a little shy when she first meets new people, but underneath that quiet exterior is a very sweet girl who just needs some love and patience to feel comfortable. Shy, Gentle & Loving Birch is a very gentle and docile puppy. She may take a little time to come out of her shell, but with patience, reassurance, and positive experiences, she can continue building her confidence and showing off her sweet personality. Birch’s Perfect Home Birch would do well in a home with another dog or as the only dog. She would make a wonderful family companion and would thrive with a loving family that will give her the patience, affection, and encouragement she needs as she grows. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle puppy who just needs a little patience and love to blossom, Birch may be the perfect match for you!
