Story
Nyomi Pleasance, who goes by Piper and already knows her name, is a 5-month-old Great Pyrenees mix, possibly mixed with Lab or some variety of Shepherd. She currently weighs 35 pounds and is expected to grow into a large dog, likely around 80 pounds as an adult. She has a medium-length coat with short, soft fur, a gorgeous white and brindle pattern, and the softest ears you will ever want to pet. Nyomi has an excellent temperament. She is friendly, cuddly, sweet, and well-mannered with a nice medium energy level. She enjoys playing and will get the zoomies sometimes, especially when she is having fun with her nanny dog, a 72-pound female German Shepherd. She is equally happy running and playing with other dogs or curling up with her people for love and snuggles. She will nap at your feet while you work at the computer, stretch out beside you at night, or climb into your lap while you watch TV. She absolutely loves playing in the water and splashing around. She is doing very well with her training and routine. Nyomi does great in her crate and is very quiet while she is in there. She runs right in to eat her meals in her crate and may only need a little treat encouragement from time to time. She is almost housebroken and knows to run outside to potty when the door opens. She may still have an accident or two inside each day, but they are small and easy to clean up. She is a great car rider, listens well, comes running when called, and is eager to please. She is also very food motivated, which should make continued training much easier. Nyomi is fairly quiet and only barks at outside noises or animals on the TV. She does not do puppy biting, though she can be gently mouthy during play. She loves stuffed animals, soft bones, hard bones, and she may occasionally steal a shoe just to keep life interesting. She loves her meals, eats twice a day, and is enthusiastic about food. She loves adults and kids and is very friendly with people she meets, though she can be a little skittish at first in new situations or around new people. She is submissive with people and warms up with kindness and patience. She shows slight signs that the pound may have been scary for her, including some nervousness in unfamiliar situations and a little resource-guarding growl around her food. The good news is that her confidence is building quickly, and she is blossoming more every day. She has a low prey drive, loves playing with dogs both large and small, and is indifferent towards cats. Nyomi is healthy, at an ideal weight, already spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines, and current on heart worm, flea, and tick prevention. Nyomi would do wonderfully in a home where she gets lots of attention and can be part of daily life. She loves going outside, but she also loves being inside with her people. She will want to be near you as much as possible, including sleeping beside you at night. She is already very well-mannered and does not need a lot of work, just continued love, structure, socializing, and encouragement. She could be happy as the only dog because she loves people so much, but she may do slightly better with another friendly, outgoing dog who can help her keep building confidence. If you are looking for a sweet, loyal, cuddly young dog who is playful when it is time for fun and calm when it is time to relax, Nyomi Pleasance may be the perfect match.   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Smart, spirited, and full of heart - Levi Ahoy is a handsome cattle dog mix ready to find his perfect match! Levi loves people! He is the total package for someone who loves an intelligent, active dog. With his quick mind and expressive eyes, he builds strong bonds and truly connects with his people. He’s incredibly responsive to training, eager to learn, and really thrives when he has a job to do. Whether it’s hikes, long walks, backyard zoomies, puzzle toys, or a game of fetch, Levi is happiest when he’s engaged and included. He’s fully potty trained and has great house manners, making him an easy addition to the right home. He listens beautifully and genuinely wants to get it right. Once he trusts you, his loyalty and affection run deep. Levi does best in a calm, understanding home that respects his space. He can feel stressed if he’s cornered or if his boundaries aren’t respected, but he communicates clearly and responds well to redirection. Given time to warm up at his own pace, like many of us, he truly blossoms. Because of this, Levi is looking for an adult-only home where he can feel secure and supported. For the right person, Levi will be an incredibly devoted companion — smart, adventurous, and full of personality. If you’re looking for a loyal partner who will keep you active and love you wholeheartedly, Levi Ahoy may be your perfect match.
