Story
Meet Polly Pockets, the furry ball of energy who will melt your heart and fill your life with joy! Polly is a 2-3-year-old pup who is looking for her forever home. She's a big girl, weighing in at 60 pounds, but don't let her size fool you - she's a big puppy at heart! Polly is a bundle of fun and loves nothing more than playing with other dogs and people. Her playful antics are sure to keep you entertained all day long! Her funny personality will have you in stitches as she bounces around with endless enthusiasm. But, like any young pup, she needs to learn some manners, so she would benefit from some training to help her channel her energy and excitement. This smart girl is very food-motivated and loves learning new things. With some guidance and training, she'll be the star of any obedience class! She's already crate-trained, so you won't have to worry about that. But be warned - she's so lovable, you might find it hard to say no to those puppy dog eyes! Polly loves walks and car rides, so you'll enjoy exploring the great outdoors together. With her by your side, every day is an adventure waiting to happen. So, if you're looking for a loving, playful, and high-energy companion, look no further than Polly Pockets!        An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms     Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. Story
Hi! I'm Cleo, and I'm ready to find my forever home.  I'm a 12-month-old female Great Pyrenees mix. Yes, I know I look nothing like Great Pyrenees other than the white fur, but I do watch over my home like a GP. And I enjoy patrolling my backyard to protect my family from intruders and strange noises. I love people and am good with new people, older kids, and my family.  I weigh around 60 pounds and am already spayed. I’m totally housebroken. But I'm not a big fan of being crated. I need slow introductions to new dogs, but we get along great after I get to know them! But I'm not cat-compatible. I love walks but go into protection mode when I see another dog. My foster parents are working with me on this.  I have something called resource guarding. If I have something I like (usually a toy or dirty sock), it's mine, and I don't want to give it up. But if you offer me a trade, like a treat, I will easily exchange my item for the treat. I love to cuddle! If all this sounds great, please complete an adoption application and meet me. I'm waiting for you. Story
Meet Beary Tree Beary Tree is a stunning, 2.5 year old, Great Pyrenees mix. He weighs about 65 pounds. He has a medium energy level, is house trained, and working on crate training, but does well out in the house when left alone.   This guy is Mr. Charisma. He loves everyone and everyone loves him. He plays well with other dogs, but with any big dog, a slow introduction is always a good idea. He loves car rides and walks. Hikes are a big hit with Beary Tree too, but he can be barky when approaching other dogs. He is working on this and is making progress.   He loves hanging out in the yard, so a fenced yard is a good idea for this guy. Beary is a very intelligent dog who enjoys having something to do whether it is working on training, hiking, walking or whatever activity you love, he is up for it. On the flip side, he is also a big fan of daytime naps and hanging out in his yard.   This sweet boy is a joy and loves his people. He is going to be a great addition to a lucky family.   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
best with cats or low-key female dogs “Meet Jaxon! This 3 year old,  Great Pyrenees mix, is large, in charge, and ready to rule your roost/couch! Jaxon can organize a toy mess in under 30 seconds and he can return a ball to you even faster. His favorite activities are making sure his people and home are safe, picking up litter on walks so you can discard it (cares about his environment!), and babysitting tennis balls. What he lacks in small-ness he makes up for in the puppy playfulness. He’s crate-trained, good on a leash with harness, and mostly house-trained (so close!). His foster home includes both cats and dogs and he prefers his kitty friends. Interested adopters should expect a couple rounds of dog-testing with any existing dogs (low energy females preferred) and some warm-up time with men.” Age: 3 years old approx  Weight: approx 65 lbs  Temperament: Gets along with adults, kids, dogs  Training: house trained.  Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative  For questions about Jaxon, please email.  chelseacna@gmail.com   &#226&#128&#139To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. Story
Stryder was a stray I adopted from the shelter last September. He is a sweet, snuggly boy that loves his people. We have worked on his separation anxiety through training and medication. Being a Pyrenees mix he has a strong protective streak so he is slow to warm up to new people but treats are an excellent way to his heart. He loves his cats and his dog sister. Stryder loves to play and figure out food puzzles. He goes to doggie daycare sometimes and has a blast playing with other dogs. We’re finding a more appropriate home for his protective nature. We were working on strangers coming into the house. We foster animals frequently and Stryder adores all the small animals but has recently become too protective. The tipping point was when he mouthed my son for coming into the foster room. Fortunately there were no injuries. but now my 8 year old is scared of him. Stryder will go home with his anxiety medications, Reconcile and Trazodone, as well as a slow feeder bowl and a Kuranda bed.

These pups are in Atlanta, Georgia too!

Story
Just like 'the voice', Frank, I have had quite the life. (Although I hear his may have been a bit more glamorous) See, it's been a long, long time since I had a home to call my own. I was found as a stray, walking around as a stranger in the night and in horrible condition. The type of condition that when the nice people at Adopt a Golden Atlanta saw me, they couldn't even tell what breed of dog I was. They knew I was a large dog, with very little fur and skin and bones, but that is it. I sure am glad they saw me and came to my rescue anyways. That was the moment my life changed and they promised me the best is yet to come. And boy were they right! I'm in great shape now and quite handsome if I do say so myself! My dashing good looks and tall stature draw a lot of attention and looks out in public and I eat it all up! I love to be with my people, so I am looking for a forever home with someone home a lot. I'm named after the Sultan of Swoon so it only makes sense that I'm a big lover as well. I will admit, sometimes things left on the counter are too much of a temptation and I help myself. But that's life, right? I also do prefer to only have humans as my companions at home because I like it my way. I am fine with other dogs outside of the home, but prefer all the attention on just me in the home. I get a kick out of you playing with me and I love my stuffies. A fenced yard would be wonderful to sit outside and feel the summer wind as well. Everybody loves somebody and now is my turn! I'd love to meet you and woo you with my charm, dreamy eyes and loving personality! Everybody loves somebody and now is my turn! "It's hard, you will find, to be narrow of mind, if you're young at heart."
