Story
This beautiful pup with the blue eyes is Blizzard! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl on 6/26, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim her. The volunteers describe Blizzard as everything a puppy should be: friendly, curious, playful, and eager to please. She has a super soft, clean coat and she knows several commands including sit, lay down, and shake. If you have room in your heart and home for Blizzard as well as the time, patience, and energy that puppies require, please come meet her! Blizzard is approximately 6 months old and weighs 55 lbs. She will most likely be a large-sized dog when fully grown. She is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. She will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Blizzard is waiting in run 856; her ID # is 11463. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Iorek is sweetheart, with a calm demeanor and a heart as big as he is. Around two years old, this neutered Great Pyrenees and Labrador mix weighs approximately 40 lbs and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations and vetting. He offers a steady presence, observing the world with thoughtful curiosity. He enjoys his walks and toys, but he's also content to quietly lay by your feet, offering comforting companionship. Iorek is incredibly loyal and forms deep bonds with his people, always looking for ways to be near them. He does wonderfully with children and thrives with human companionship. While he can be a little unsure around new pets at first, given time, he settles in beautifully. Iorek has no known health concerns, special needs, or behavioral problems. He'll do best in a home ready to continue his training and offer him the mental stimulation he craves, whether it's learning new tricks or simply enjoying a long walk.

Story
best with cats or low-key female dogs “Meet Jaxon! This 3 year old,  Great Pyrenees mix, is large, in charge, and ready to rule your roost/couch! Jaxon can organize a toy mess in under 30 seconds and he can return a ball to you even faster. His favorite activities are making sure his people and home are safe, picking up litter on walks so you can discard it (cares about his environment!), and babysitting tennis balls. What he lacks in small-ness he makes up for in the puppy playfulness. He’s crate-trained, good on a leash with harness, and mostly house-trained (so close!). His foster home includes both cats and dogs and he prefers his kitty friends. Interested adopters should expect a couple rounds of dog-testing with any existing dogs (low energy females preferred) and some warm-up time with men.” Age: 3 years old approx  Weight: approx 65 lbs  Temperament: Gets along with adults, kids, dogs  Training: house trained.  Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative  For questions about Jaxon, please email.  chelseacna@gmail.com   &#226&#128&#139To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself November 6, 2024, 12:45 pm

Story
Thor is a playful, loyal 6-year-old Great Pyrenees with the heart of a puppy and a deep love for open land. I’ve had him since he was 6 weeks old, and he’s always been well-loved, well-cared for, and kept up to date on vet visits and vaccinations. Thor thrives with space to roam and has done great in doggy daycare settings. He genuinely enjoys playing with other dogs, but is initially reactive and can be overwhelming to others due to his size. He’s currently on vet-prescribed anxiety meds (Trazodone + Clomicalm) due to long-term separation anxiety that’s worsened with my full-time travel. He needs a calm, stable home with room to run and someone experienced who can continue working with him. He’s a sweet, devoted companion who just needs the right environment to thrive.
