Story
NOTE: If you do not have another active medium to large breed dog in the home, your app will not be approved.   This amazing 11-week-old girl is a mix of Great Pyrenees and Husky weighing in at 14lbs. She is friendly, smart, curious with a tad of caution, and a perfect mix of playful meets chill making her a really amazing dog! Suki has the most beautiful white and cream coat. Her thick, double coat makes her hot even when the temp is cool outside, so she enjoys sprawling out on the tile floor or napping belly up under a ceiling fan. She will enjoy a cooling mate or two in her forever home. Suki is great with older children and playfully follows the big dogs around. She is a chewer, so get the bones and bully toys ready! Suki is already crate trained because she is super smart :) and she is doing great for her age with house training. Suki absolutely must have a fenced in yard for playtime and will need a medium to large size companion dog in her forever home. A family that is experienced with one or both of her breeds is ideal. Adoption fee $600. Available 4/20.  Visit ruffredemption.org to complete an application. All Ruff Redemption Dogs are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They also receive a minimum of two distemper/parvo vaccines, medication for the treatment and prevention of intestinal worms, and monthly heart worm/flea prevention while in our care. Rabies vaccines are given if the dog is 16 weeks of age or older.  April 24, 2024, 11:19 pm

Story
Hi! I'm Cleo, and I'm ready to find my forever home.  I'm a 10-month-old female Great Pyrenees mix. Yes, I know I look nothing like Great Pyrenees other than the white fur, but I do watch over my home like a GP. And I enjoy patrolling my backyard to protect my family from intruders and strange noises. I love people and am good with new people, older kids, and my family.  I weigh around 50 pounds and am already spayed. I’m totally housebroken. But I'm not a big fan of being crated. I need slow introductions to new dogs, but we get along great after I get to know them! But I'm not cat-compatible. I love walks but go into protection mode when I see another dog. My foster parents are working with me on this.  I have something called resource guarding. If I have something I like (usually a toy or dirty sock), it's mine, and I don't want to give it up. But if you offer me a trade, like a treat, I will easily exchange my item for the treat. I love to cuddle! If all this sounds great, please complete an adoption application and meet me. I'm waiting for you.           An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms     Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. Story
Beary Tree is a stunning, 2.5 year old, Great Pyrenees mix. He currently weighs in at about 70 pounds, but is working on losing a few. He has a medium energy level, is house trained, and working on crate training, but does well out in the house when left alone.    This guy is Mr. Charisma. He loves everyone and everyone loves him. He plays well with other dogs, but with any big dog, a slow introduction is always a good idea. He loves car rides so much that he is reluctant to leave the car when you get home. Walks and hikes are a big hit with Beary Tree too, but he can be barky and pull on a leash when approaching other dogs. He is working on this and is making progress.    He loves hanging out in the yard, so a fenced yard is a must for this guy. Beary is a very intelligent dog who enjoys having something to do whether it is working on training, hiking, walking or whatever activity you love, he is up for it.     This sweet boy is a joy and loves his people. He is going to be a great addition to a lucky family. Story
Beautiful sweet protective white Great Pyrenees named Crystal needs a home! With rising crime in our area, she will watch your house while you are out! My neighbor offered to foster her when a family had a new baby and three young children, and now they don't want her back. My neighbor is moving out of state where she does not have room for her. Crystal is completely housebroken and loves to ride in cars or go for walks on a leash. She will hold her bladder all day. She is 5 years old and in excellent health. Vet records available. She is not good with cats, or I would take her, but we have a cat. She loves to sleep in her bed! She knows how to sit and stay. She will bark if anyone approaches the house. The Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta is full and cannot take her. If you are interested please text four oh (xxx) xxx-xxxx nine, and say you heard about her on Next Door. Unfortunately my neighbor is moving this April 2024.

Story
Meet Saul - Hi everyone! My name is Saul, and I am a 4-year old Great Pyrenees with the whitest coat around! I currently weigh around 99 pounds, and I am fully grown. Everyone here says I am the biggest cuddle bug around. I love all people and will let you pet me whenever you want as I thrive off of human interaction. When I see you approaching me, I will let out a low howl to show off my excitement. I DO NOT like other dogs or cats. I have been briefly tested on a leash with goats and chickens and I was ok, but we do not know how I would do once I get comfortable. I have the best leash manners as I do not pull and will walk right beside you at a slow pace (I like to take my time). I am however VERY leash reactive when taking a walk if other animals are around, as I don't like them. I do like to keep my kennel clean, but that's because I am a gentleman. I love being outside and will lay out in the sun and take a nap all day if you let me. I do have a lot of fur, but I don't mind being brushed at all - it makes me look even cuter! I am very protective of my people and will guard you. I need to have a large fenced-in area, maybe even a farm, but I also love a family to spend time with inside. My ideal home would be with an experienced Great Pyrenees dog owner who is a strong dog handler, that way I can thrive in my new home and be set up for success. If you are interested in learning more about me, please stop by the Humane Society of Forsyth County, Tuesday through Thursday between 11 am and 5 pm and Friday and Saturday between 1 pm to 5 pm. I will be waiting patiently to greet you! Love, Saul!

Story
He is a super sweet boy around the age of 1 year old. He is Great Pyrenees and completely white in color. He loves loves to walk, play with other dogs and good with kids. Unknown on the cat part and doesn’t seem to have a prey instinct at all. He would need to be in a home with a fenced in yard and he isn’t fond of a dog crate at all. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
