Shelter Visiting Hours are 12 pm to 4 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event: https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##1954888##

Story
1120552 - This handsome guy is Odin.  He is a smart, playful, loyal companion.  He loves to play with other dogs (especially if they like to run so he can chase), and knows basic commands.  He even listens well off leash on our land and is happy to stay near you unlike a lot of huskies.  He is a husky mix and just over 3 years old. Like most huskies he can be vocal and can be a little stand-off-ish when he first meets you.  He seems to warm up to women faster then men. Also in typical husky fasion he does have some seperation anxiety, and needs to be in a strong crate when you aren’t home, he is getting better with this and does settle down but it takes him a few minutes.  He would do best with someone that isn’t gone too much, can get him plenty of exercise and is in a home with a yard (with a 6ft secure fence), not an apartment.  Husky experience is preferred!  He did okay in his cat test and wasn't overly interested and has been good with the kids he has meet. To adopt this absolutely gorgeous boy please complete an application at www.sloppykisses.org/adoptions! ##911218##

HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! Howdy Colorado! I'm Loba, a 2 year old husky mix! So nice to meet y'all. I came from Houston and can say that I find it mighty fine here. Since I have been here I have been able to meet lots of people and dogs. Right now, I prefer any dog, all shapes and sizes to play with. Bones and treats, I like those too. Walks and runs, yes please! With people, I am a little slow to warm up but am starting to like their company. I am pretty independent, potty trained, and can't wait to find my forever home. Could it be with you? Could we go on walks and hikes and adventures? I am great on a leash and love car rides too, so maybe we can keep each other company and really enjoy this life together.   Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2055775##

Story
HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! Have you seen the sweetest and the most handsome boy named Benji? If you’re looking for a calm adult and extremely good-natured dog, then Benji might be the one you’ve been searching for because he has definitely been waiting for you!  Benji is learning how to be a member of a household with a human and 2 other dogs that he gets along with very well. He’s a smart boy who’s working hard on learning manners and he’s eager to please his people. He will bark or ‘ring’ the bells on the door when he wants to go out. In his foster home, he is often called ‘Albus’ because he seems like an old soul with a bit of a silly side. He likes to be wherever the people are, and although he might initially come across as a bit reserved, Benji will soon ask for attention, and he absolutely loves getting face and head scratches. This sweet boy also enjoys running around the yard and playing chase with the other playful dog in the home. Benji would really like to play with the little 10 lb. dog that he’s living with, but since he’s about 6x her size, her response is a vicious snarl as she rudely tells him to back off. One of the best things about Benji is that even when the small dog is snarky with him, he does not have an aggressive response… he just seems disappointed and confused as to why she doesn’t want to play! Benji is a 5 year old husky mix and is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. One look into Benji’s eyes, and you’ll see his kind heart, which just wants to be loved by his person/people. Could that be you? Put in an application today to meet Benji and see if you’re a love match! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2035408##

HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED!!! Meet Snowball – the 11-month-old bundle of husky mix joy! This little fluffball is not just affectionate, she's head over paws in love with people, kids, and fellow furry friends alike. She's a nature enthusiast through and through. And when it comes to manners, she's a pro – completely house-trained and improving on her leash skills every day.  But here's the cherry on top: Snowball is one smart cookie! She's a quick learner and an attentive listener, making every training session a breeze. Plus, she's already up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped – talk about being ahead of the game! Story
Name: Trooper Breed: German Shepherd / Husky Sex: Neutered Male Age: 2.5 years Weight: 64 Good with dogs? Yes, Trooper is super friendly! When he’s out on a walk, he’s not too worried about other dogs and keeps a polite distance. When he gets to know other dogs in a backyard or other play context, he may be very excited at first, then calms down as he gets acquainted with his new playmates. He’s a vocal player and sometimes misinterprets “back off” signals as play. But as he’s gotten to know his foster’s dogs better, he’s adapted his play style to match theirs and has learned to give his bossy foster sister her space. He would do great in a family with other dogs or as an only dog. Good with cats? No Good with kids? Yes, Trooper loves everybody and would probably thrive with a family that includes multiple playmates. Energy level: High, but he knows how to chill and save his energy for his favorite activities. Trooper is an ideal companion for active individuals or families who can provide him with the love and attention he craves. He would love to walk, play, jog or run regularly with his future family, and he’s been enjoying weekly longer runs or hikes. He is interested in and may sniff or try to chase small animals like squirrels, bunnies and birds. If he goes to doggy daycare (where he has made friends and excelled) he may burn off some of his energy. Medical/Behavioral needs: Trooper is very social, absolutely loves to be with his people, and would love a family in which someone can be home with him frequently. For example, he’d love an adopter who works from home, or who spends most of their non-working hours with their pets. Trooper loves his crate and sleeps happily in it overnight. He can also be crated and left home alone during the day for several hours at a time, but he can be anxious and barky if left alone in an unfamiliar environment. He adores his super chewer toys - they’re his go-to for staying calm during longer stretches alone. Trooper is a breeze to bathe, staying calm and still during the process. He’s familiar with the commands “sit,” “stay,” and “stop,” is fully potty trained and has never had an accident. Animal Characteristics: Trooper is a bundle of love, energy and joy! This sweet, gorgeous, soft, cuddly boy loves being pet, soaks up snuggles and will often rest his head on your lab, expecting more affection, and gently paw at you when he needs even more love. He will randomly fling himself on the grass and roll around, just for the joy of it. He’s always up for an adventure and will make every day a new and exciting experience! Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. You can also contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!

Story
Hi, I'm Balto! I'm a total sweetheart -- an active and handsome boy with a heart of gold and a great personality! I love my people, quiet petting time, and outdoor fun -- walks, fetch, tug of war, and if you like to hike, take me along! I'm friendly, easygoing, and because I'm so smart, I should always have someone with me in a yard to avoid any temptation to escape, looking for adventure. But I'd rather stay close to you and have adventures together! I take ongoing arthritis medication and my friends will tell you how to maintain my successful care plan. If you're affectionate, can match my energy and keep me mentally and physically enriched and active, we're made for each other, let's start a fabulous life together!July 26, 2024, 11:13 am
