Say Hi to Ford, he is a neutered Husky/Retriever mix, a very handsome red/creme 3.5 yrs. 73 lbs.   Ford was found as a stray at the local lake and taken to the shelter, held on a stray hold, and never claimed.  He has turned out to be the bestest dog!   The folks at the shelter weren't kidding when they said he's a wonderful dog! He has such a happy disposition. New people and dogs are just friends he hasn't met yet. He loves his pack and would love someone who has experience with larger dogs. He's strong! His EAPL foster can see him being a great running or hiking buddy - a great wing man. He thinks the dog door is the best idea ever and loves being outside. I've taken him to the office, and he "chills" there as well.  He does so well with other dogs and people! Kitties are unknown.  Put in an application at eapl.com. His adoption fee is $375 April 6, 2026, 10:06 am

Story
Ginger is a well-behaved sweet husky who is about 10 years old. She is around 80 pounds but has been losing weight recently due to careful diet and exercise. She loves walks and walks well on leash. Ginger has been in her current home for 5 months, having been rehomed by a relative because of health issues. Unfortunately Ginger's prey drive led her to attack and injure the family cat and they are no longer compatible. The best new home for Ginger would have no cats, small dogs nor small children to be safe. Ginger came to her current home with a bladder control problem which was easily fixed with medication which she needs to remain on. She also takes medication for arthritis. If adopted Ginger would come with several months on her medication. Thanks for considering Ginger if you are looking to help an older dog with a good home.
