Story
Nonni is a sweet boy. His favorite pass time is giving kisses. He is a smart guy and is learning commands quickly. He is potty trained, walks well on a leash, and a great hiking companion. He loves to play with other dogs and gets along well with cats, if the cats like him. He weighs around 30 pounds, a perfect size, and likely won’t get much bigger. He will spend time in his crate but sometimes needs a little coaxing to go in. A dog treat typically does the trick. If you are looking for a walking/hiking companion or a friend for another dog, Nonni is the perfect fit. ##2061079##

Story
Happy is your typical Husky: an energetic, friendly, smart, extroverted goofball in a large package. Happy is great getting into a harness and leash, he does pull when walking but is very easily redirected. We don’t think Happy was crated in his previous life so crate training will be an ongoing learning process for him- he seems to do better in a travel crate rather than a wire kennel. Happy is extremely friendly and loves playing with other dogs. He knows how to sit, stay and paw. As Happy learns what life is like out of the shelter, including food coming on a regular basis, he gets more trusting everyday.  ##2078429##

Story
Dusty is the sweetest, gentlest, most affectionate guy with the best disposition. He's 39 pounds, a gorgeous tri-color boy with brown tones and with blue/green heterochromia eyes. His ideal home would be an active home with runners or hikers looking for an adventure buddy. Whatever you’re doing, he’s totally down. He would be a great family dog as he absolutely adores kids and babies. My daughter accidentally fell on his face once, and he didn’t flinch. He’s absurdly soft and loves to snuggle. At 3, he’s still got a lot of puppy in him. The good news is he’s past the chewing & potty training phase and every day he becomes calmer and more confident. He is fully trained, including crate-trained. He knows basic commands and is housebroken. Some things to work on might be adjustments to his leash training and desensitizing him to things that get him excited. But honestly, he is the perfect candidate for someone who doesn’t want the work and time commitment of raising a puppy (which can be a full-time, sleepless gig!). He’s a young spry dog that’s ready to join you whether it’s on the trails or at the brewery. He needs a lot of exercise and loves going on long runs on a frequent basis. He is also very smart and would do well with a home that’s willing to give him plenty of attention and activities. Although he’s shown to be on our couch in one of these photos (whoops), he’s since been trained to stay off couches and beds. He is healthy and up to date with all vaccines. He is hilarious and, like a lot of huskies, sings when he’s happy and can be vocal with his feelings. He could use some additional work containing that excitement sometimes but has shown a lot of improvement since we’ve had him. He is friendly and very playful with most other dogs, (but it’s always good to go slow at those first interactions). He has been boarded and groomed before and also been to dog parks and did well. He loves his older foster brother and has learned so much from him. He would do well in a home with other dogs, but we could also see him being extremely happy as the only dog in the home so that he could get his undivided attention. Who is ready for unconditional love?   To meet this handsome fella, please put in an application at www.eapl.com. His adoption fee is $375.July 26, 2024, 4:44 pm

Koko and Koda are 7years old, both are super friendly with Kids and other dogs. They both like to be cuddle and petted. Unfortunately I’m looking for another home for them because my son started to be allergic to dogs. I want someone that will take care of them and love them like a family member.

Story
Frankie is a huskydoodle. She’s so sweet, playful, cuddly, affectionate, and absolutely fluffy as heck. We love her. When we took her in we knew she had some behavioral stuff - cowering away from strangers, quiet growls at other animals etc. - she was rescued from an abusive home. We were so so willing to be patient with her while she adjusted. She’s improved soo much! But its been 2 yrs now and the tension between her and my kitties has reached a breaking point for me, she lunged at my sweet old man cat and my heart just broke for him. She truly just needs to be an only pet, she deserves the peace too. I feel like I’m doing everyone in my home a disservice by not being able to ease her anxiety being around other animals. She plays great with my 6 year old and always has since we first adopted her when he was barely 4, but she does a soft low growl around my 12 month old. I’ve toiled over this choice for such a long time, I’m trying so hard to do the right thing for everyone.
