Story
Ava is a five year old shepherd mix that was recently transferred to rescue when her mom passed away after a very short but courageous battle with cancer. She has a soft shy personality and lived with another dog that was protective of her, so as you can imagine, these recent changes have been a big adjustment. Ava is really starting to show her personality as she gets comfortable; she is appropriate with other dogs and beginning to instigate play, loves exploring the world on walks, and enjoys curling up by your feet or on the couch with you. She's in foster with a professional positive-reinforcement trainer who says she's a super gal. Although she takes a little bit of time to warm up to new people, she is extremely sweet. We believe Ava would do best in a quieter home without young children and lots of commotion, and would be fine in a home with respectful dogs that match her energy level. She is fully house trained, and can be crated, though she is non-destructive in the home when left unattended. She would be happy with another dog in the house but dog parks are too overwhelming for her. She demonstrates a lot of body language about how she is feeling. If body language is respected she will quickly build a trustworthy relationship. New owners will need to learn about body language (ex: lip licks, appeasement kisses, whale eyes, eye contact, pet consent). She listens well, knows basic obedience, does need to learn better leash skills. Ava is spayed, fully vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention, and microchipped with registration. Her adoption fee is $350.

Story
Poncho is a stunning Husky/Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his fluffy coat! This handsome boy is looking for a special home where he can be the center of attention and soak up all the love. Poncho is a people lover through and through and craves human companionship. He adores attention and will quickly become your shadow, following you around with his wagging tail and big, expressive eyes. While Poncho loves people, he can be a bit particular about his furry friends. He's dog-selective, which means he's best suited as the only dog in the home. This handsome guy prefers to be the star of the show and would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention. Poncho is a ball of energy and loves to stay active. He enjoys long walks, runs, and playtime in the yard. He's especially fond of the beach and would make a great companion for someone who loves outdoor adventures. Poncho's zest for life is contagious, and he'll bring joy and excitement to every outing. Due to his separation anxiety, Poncho needs a family that can provide him with the love and attention he craves. He can't be left alone for long periods and would benefit from a family that has the time and commitment to help him feel secure and loved. If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate companion who will fill your life with love and laughter, Poncho is the perfect match for you! Come meet this sweet boy and see if you're a match made in heaven. Adopt Poncho today and start making unforgettable memories with your new best friend!

Story
Say hello to Cumin, a sweet husky mix with a courageous heart and calm demeanor. At three years young, this former sled dog has embraced a life of adventure but is ready to find a comfy forever home with a new human best friend. Though living indoors is a little confusing to him, Cumin is showing a lot of courage and willingness to learn the ropes of cozy living among loving humans. This gentle giant is incredibly kind and sweet with all humans and dogs. He loves an outdoor adventure but is always down to just chill and hang out, too. Navigating his new world with a thoughtful pace, Cumin seeks a patient and loving human to show him the joys of pet life. A spacious, fenced yard would be a dream come true for this guy. Cumin's genial nature makes him a friend to all humans and canine companions alike, though he holds a special fondness for fellow large dogs, finding small ones perplexing for now. Trust may not come immediately for Cumin, but once earned, he’ll be your loyal lifelong companion. His sled-pulling days have left him with incredible strength, so Cumin is searching for an athletic companion who’s dedicated to keeping him under control while he learns leash manners. Cumin’s favorite treat is a slice of cheese, which will help fast-track your way into his heart and encourage his loving personality to really blossom! For the right home, Cumin will be more than just a pet; he’ll be a lifelong companion. If you're a patient soul looking for a gentle, attentive partner, Cumin promises to be your furever friend through every season of life. ##1974536##

Story
**Must have yard, another dog and an active person** Matilda (Tilly), is the sweetest little green eyed girl! When she isn’t playing with her foster siblings, she is right by your side snuggling. She is a little timid at times, but her confidence is growing. She is pretty good at making it to the potty pad, but still needs some work. She always wants to know what’s going on, so she is usually underfoot & in your bubble. She is quite the little drama queen - the husky vocals come out when she pretends to be hurt! Her foster mom thinks she does it for the snuggles that follow. She has no issues with the house kitty, and absolutely adores playing with other dogs. She is getting braver by the day & has learned how to soar from the couch to the dog bed - Queen of comfy! She is the sweetest little girl, loves her people, and is so excited to find her forever home. ##1987812##

Story
**Must have yard, another dog and an active person** This sweet boy is happiest snuggled up by your side. He loves playing with his foster siblings, but when play time is over, he is the snuggliest little man! Don’t let his size fool you - he is brave, curious, and so much fun! He is the first to jump (literally) into new adventures - whether it’s off the deck or off the couch, he’s all in! His motto is act first, figure it out later, but he’s a smart little guy who figures it out quickly! Potty training is going well, but we are still having some accidents. We are working on basic commands, and he is getting great at recognizing his name!. Scout would be a wonderful companion for just about anyone! He loves the foster brother cat, is good with children, and loves other dogs! He is so excited to find his forever humans & settle into his new life! ##1987813##
