Story
Once upon a time there was a dog named Shiva. Shiva was very curious as to her origin and asked us to do some research. She figured from her name she originated out of Siberia, Russian, which she did. However; we also discovered Siberian Husky's popularity rose in the winter of 1925 in Nome, Alaska when there was an outbreak of Diphtheria! There was no way to get the medicine needed using normal means due to the snow- and ice-covered roads. The Alaskan people started using these amazing dogs to mush across the snow and ice to acquire the medications needed to save their people. Shiva feels special because she herself is 91% Siberian Husky. She is honored to know she is from such an elite group of canines. Shiva was curious and decided to compare her attributes to the standards of her breed. *Intelligent - Check *Curious - Check *Athletic - Check *Stunningly beautiful - Check *Dog friendly - Check After looking at her list she had even more to add! *Housetrained - Check *Trustworthy at home alone - Check *Loving and snuggly - Check *Expert leash walker - Check *Obedient - Check *Ball retriever - Check After making her list she decided it was time to look for a forever family who appreciates the amazing Siberian Husky breed. Shiva loves to sleep under the bed at night, yep, you read that right. No crate needed for this good girl. She is playful and will fetch the ball and play with her doggie friends in the backyard until it is time to lay down and relax, which she loves by the way. Shiva is 91% Siberian Husky and 9% Belgian Malinois. She is 2 years old and weighs 45lbs. Shiva is spayed, current on vaccinations and preventatives. Her adoption fee is $175. This beautiful girl would love the opportunity to meet you and possibly become part of your home. If you feel Shiva would be a great fit for your family, please reach out to PawsitiveTailsKC.org. Meet and greets are set up on approved adoption applications.

Story
Do you prefer blue eyes or brown eyes? Nevermind, no need to choose. Little Nutmeg has it all, including both eye colors! Nutmeg plays big and naps hard. She's a 3-month-old Husky mix who is so adorable with smooshy puppy-ness. She sings the song of her Husky people - especially when she has something she wants. She also loves her toys and treats her stuffies like they are her babies. Nutmeg loves to go for walks and already makes a great running buddy in her foster home. She goes along on car rides, but you might be accompanied by some of that Husky singing along the way. Nutmeg is doing great with house training, and she is crate trained. She is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Her adoption fee is $275. You can meet her once you're approved to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org!

Story
Pansy, Viola Cornuta, Viola Alpina...all these are types of violet. There's even a Dog Violet, aka Viole Adunca. But we have the very best kind of Violet...a Siberian Husky mix that's almost 4 months old and this Violet is just the sweetest snuggler this side of the Mississippi! Little Miss Violet is ready to find her forever home and she is just so SMART! I mean, really, huskies are smarty-pants! She is learning to like her crate & keeps it clean and has done excellent so far with potty training! Today, she learned the "sit" command and is very much food motivated...which makes training her that much easier to do! And, let me tell you, she LOVES training and learning new things. Violet is also dog friendly and loves playing with her foster brother who has a lot of energy. They could chase each other around the yard forever! When her foster sibling isn't around, Violet enjoys playing with all kinds of toys to entertain herself. And if you don't have a kiddie pool, go get yourself one because this girl loves splashing around in the water! Violet is about 4 months old and ready to steal someone's heart! She will be spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. If you are interested in adopting Violet, please fill out an app at pawsitivetailskc.org.

Story
Birra is Portugese for tantrum...seems like the perfect name for a tempestuous Husky, don't you think?! Seriously, though, this 4-month-old Siberian Husky is a total catch! This girl has personality! She is perfect in every way. She is very calm for a husky and always ready for pets from her humans. And even better, she is dog, kid and cat friendly. And Birra has the typical smarts of a husky: easy and fun to train! She is smart and inquisitive but doesn't ever really do anything 'wrong' - well, unless you count licking the cat food bowl dry. She's crate trained and potty training is nearly complete. She knows sit and is expected to learn more commands easily. And, oh, the theatrical husky. When Birra is unhappy - at bath time, for example - she converses in a typical dramatic toddler way. We find it quite amusing and makes us love her even more. At just four months old, Birra is plenty playful too! She likes to chase balls and pounces on them like a cat. And, best of all, she hasn't chewed up a thing! She loves spending her time with people and has been such an easy keeper in her foster home. She is going to be a fantastic family dog! Birra's adoption fee is $275 and includes her spay, microchip, age-appropriate vaccines, and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Meet and Greets can be scheduled with Approved Adopters! ***cat friendly
