Meet Cloverton, our sweet senior Siberian Husky! Cloverton is 11 years old and weighs 55 pounds. He is truly a unicorn husky - so well behaved, quiet, and laid back! And as you can see, he only has one ear so he even looks like a unicorn too :) Cloverton loves all people and kids, and is very dog friendly. He loves to snuggle or flop over for belly rubs and is a great walker! He is recovering from some skin issues and has some baldness on his butt, but it is healing up great! Cloverton has been searching for his foster or furever home and was wondering if that could be yours!

Hank is such a good boy-we will be moving and staying with someone else for several months, so unable to take him. He is 5 years old. He is cuddly and sweet and loves to play. House-trained, crate trained, and loves the cat next door, the dog two doors down, and the turtle that lives in our back yard. He is gentle and just wants to play.

Story
AdoptionGator was surrendered due to change in the family circumstances. He is a well behaved and friendly guy. He loves humans, but does not do well with the unpredictability of little kiddos though, so only kids over 6 please. He has done well with the dogs in his foster home with a slower intro. He is potty and kennel trained although the kennel isn't required after settling in. He grew up on a farm and protected the yard from squirrels and raccoons, so we are also looking for a home with no small animals! If you think Gator could be a good fit, please fill out an application at www.k911foundation.com/adopt. May 19, 2025, 10:59 pm

Story
Zena is a 40 lb husky mix. She's gorgeous and SO sweet once you are in her circle. She has a little stranger danger and probably needs a no cat, and no chicken home. She would be great as an only dog too. She can get skittish with people standing, walking toward her, certain arm placements at first as well. She just wants to stay home, in her yard or neighborhood, with her person. She loves leash walks and car rides but doesn't like going into places. "Peopling" is low on the enjoyment list. As soon as we go on our walks she's so peaceful and happy.    Apply to meet Zena at www.k911foundation.com/adoptDecember 12, 2024, 8:44 pm

Story
Meet Duke – Gorgeous, Smart, and Go-Go-Go! Husky/Border Collie Mix | 2 Year Old | No Young Children | Dog-Savvy Home Only Duke is a stunning one-year-old Husky/Border Collie mix—100% Husky, 100% Border Collie, and 200% energy! With his striking looks and high-drive brain, Duke is the total package for someone who understands and appreciates working breeds. This boy is athletic, whip-smart, and has already nailed three obedience goals: sit/stay, down/wait, and even bow (yep, he’s that clever). He plays fetch like a champ and thrives when his brain and body are both engaged. But like many high-drive dogs, he needs structure, boundaries, and consistency to stay balanced. Duke enjoys the company of other dogs and loves high-energy play. He does well reading dog cues in the moment, but tends to quickly re-engage, so a confident, playful companion would be ideal. Cats are a no-go—he’s far too interested. Duke is currently kenneled, but he does not sleep through the night and cannot hold his bladder more than about four hours, so his adopter will need to be ready for a bathroom routine that matches his needs and possibly work on improving his nighttime habits. Because of his intensity and mouthy play style, Duke is not a fit for homes with children. While not aggressive, he can nip in excitement and has been known to go for hair or faces during high-energy bursts. He needs an adult-only home with adopters who understand how to manage and redirect high-drive behaviors. The ideal home for Duke: Adult-only, breed-savvy household No cats A secure yard for running and playing A commitment to daily exercise and mental enrichment Another playful, energetic dog could be a good fit A willingness to work on crate training and bathroom routines Someone who understands the unique challenges and joys of working breeds Duke’s foster is helping him channel all that drive into productive training and play. He’s not a low-maintenance pup—but for the right person, he’ll be an incredibly rewarding companion. All Heart of America dogs are altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption Fee: $225 Think Duke might be your high-energy soulmate? Apply today and get ready for a beautiful whirlwind of a dog! Story
Wilford B is a 10 year old husky looking for the good life. He just wants to chill the day away with you. A window with a view of his flying friends & sneaky squirrels is his day's plans- other than hanging out with you. Not a people dog but up to sniffing the local four-legged neighbors. Talking is not his strong suit- he's a quiet dog- unlike most huskies. Lived 8 years with another dog. Used to being on a chain outside but won't leave the yard if he 'escapes.' Knows a few commands. Good for neighborhood walks or driving around for short errands, but wants the easy life of a lazy dog. Wilford B has been a lovely dog for my late brother, so he may have some anxieties as he re-homes. And we took him for a full workup at the Vet. Healthy. Doesn't like Peanut butter but loves Bacon stuff.
