Story
Luna at Large is 2-3 years old, 55-60lbs and has a true husky zest for life. This girlie was born to run and hence her name. She’s full of husky personality and fun. Luna is gorgeous; yes. Luna is an escape artist; yes. Social - friendly - full of life. If you’re a husky family, she’ll fit right in. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   June 30, 2026, 10:29 am

Story
Looking for a peaceful addition to your pack? Bellis is a dainty, sweet soul with a stunning thick white coat and a heart of gold. She is the definition of "gentle"—she doesn't  jump, and isn't rowd, just pure sweetness. She is great with other dogs, cats and kids. She is fully crate trained and is generally a very quiet house guest. While she is calm, she also likes to run around in the yard or the house with her doggy friends. She is very playful and loves her toys which she carries around and uses as a bargaining chip for play. If you have a fenced yard for playtime and a spare spot on the couch for pets, Bellis is ready to meet you! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. Story
I adopted blizzard from the shelter February 2025. She is 2 years 8 months old and is the sweetest dog. She will cuddle up with you and sleep for hours. She doesn’t bark and does great with our cat. She has issues with going to the bathroom and some separation anxiety. She needs someone who will be able to put a lot of time into her. She would make a great family dog and is extremely sweet and cuddly!

Story
Meet Avi! He is the true meaning of rescue. Avi used to live with an abusive owner, until we changed his path! He has come so far, and has been clicker trained, but is still healing and will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue his training. He is about 10 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He loves everyone he meets, but is not good with children or cats, and doesn't understand why they move so fast. He is slow to trust, but very playful and affectionate once he knows he is safe. Avi will jump a fence that is smaller than 6 ft tall, and will need long daily walks. He currently lives with and loves his boxer bulldog mix foster brother, but knows he is the pretty one! A home with another playful husky or other dog similar in size would be ideal! HUSKY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. CANNOT BE PLACED WITH CHILDREN OR CATS. If you want to be a part of Avi's recovery and future, and are willing to invest in long term training, apply for him today! His adoption fee is $25. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LOUC/Dog All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Nataliyah. Nataliyah is a beautiful 5-month-old, 45-pound female Goberian (Golden Retriever/Siberian Husky) puppy. Nataliyah came in from a puppy mill two weeks ago shy and scared. In just a couple of weeks, she has blossomed into a sweet and affectionate pup who no longer seems to be fearful. She enjoys playing with toys, exploring the yard, playing with her foster siblings, and following her foster mom everywhere. Nataliyah has a black, gray and white coat with beautiful markings on her face. She is eager to please and follows directives well, (as long as she can control her excitement). She is 45 pounds now, but will be a large dog once full grown. She is fostered with a one-year-old mama dog and her three puppies, who she loves playing with. She is medium-to-high energy now and will probably remain the same into adulthood. Despite her breed, Nataliyah has rarely barked while in foster care. She occasionally whines. She is making great strides with her potty training for only two weeks in a home. She is an excellent car rider. Nataliyah is pretty good on a leash for it being her first experience with it. She zig-zags a lot, but ultimately still moves forward. Like all puppies, Nataliyah will need to be taught boundaries. For these types of breeds, it is also crucial that they get exercise daily beyond just playing in the back yard, (such as long walks, runs, hiking or dog parks). She would do best with a fenced-in yard. Nataliyah is a very sweet and affectionate puppy with lots of love to give, (not to mention she’s gorgeous). After starting her short little life confined in a puppy mill, she is just looking for the “good life” as a cherished family pet. If you believe that you have the right home to give Nataliyah the love and commitment she deserves, please apply today. She would be a wonderful addition to your family. Nataliyah is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $300.00.
