Story
This is Loki! He’s a 3 year old Husky-Malamute mix (Malamute is a guess based on his size). He was adopted from DACC in October of 2023 with an unknown backstory. Since then, we’ve come to know and love Loki very much. We hate to be looking for a new home for him, but we think this will be best for our family and him, too. Loki will do best in a home with older children as he still doesn’t know just how big he is! He will also need a fenced in yard, preferably one that is 6 feet or higher because he loves to explore. He is crate trained and we’ve found it best to keep him crated while we’re away so he doesn’t get into things. Lastly, it was discovered that he has a congenital kidney malformation; one kidney didn’t develop fully. We’ve been able to manage this with a low protein, low phosphorous diet and blood work every 6 months. He also drinks a ton of water and needs frequent trips outside. Overall, he is the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet and deserves the world in his next home.

Story
Make sure you let us know you saw Kyan on Adopt-a-pet. The definition of best friend. Kyan "Ky" will follow you to the end of the earth if that's what you have planned. He's a ride or die pup with his humans, loves doggie friends, unknown cat behavior, gentle with kids, great walking partner, lap cuddler, movie buddy, office pal....he's got your back. Kyan is an escape artist, so someone that works from home, can take him to doggie day care, or has another dog in the home to keep him company would be the best fit for this pup. Please ask staff for more information on Mr. Houdini.

Loki (yes name after the show) is a 4-year-old Husky with a strong personality and loves to greet you with a special howl. He is chill but can be a bit energetic when he gets excited about the things he loves—for example, going outside to run around in the yard, getting treats, or getting a brand-new toy. Loki can be a bit sassy when he wants but also loving when he needs to be. Ps. Fun fact Loki has Heterochromia (one blue eye and the other brown)

Story
Hello! My name is Pooh Bear, but my foster mom calls me PooLou. I talk like a husky but I don't bark much. I have spent my life traveling the U.S. I love long walks and car rides. I have excellent leash manners and am an easy walker. I’m a friendly guy but I will chase small animals, so I need to be walked on a leash. I’m looking for a new home because I got into a fight with my brother I was living with. My foster mom has since got me neutered. I would do best in a house with no dogs and no cats. I’m looking for someone with an active lifestyle, since I’ve been out exploring daily my whole life. Running around the fenced in yard isn’t going to cut it. Age: 5 years Sex: Male - neutered Weight: 65 lbs Breed: My dad was a Great Pyrenees. My mother was a Rhodesian Ridgeback X Bluetick Hound X Black Mouth Cur x Husky X Blue Heeler X Catahoula
