You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Triscuit is an absolute lovebug looking for a snuggle buddy. He wants to be pet as much as possible and will make his feelings known by putting his head under your arm if you aren’t petting him. He has a somewhat limited understanding of personal space and prefers to spend his time on top of someone. He is a bit timid, but gets over it pretty quickly when he realizes there are treats and pets available. Triscuit is unfortunately heartworm positive and will need an adopter who will continue his treatment. LDDR will cover the cost, but he will need to be kept calm and on restricted activity until he gets the all clear from the vet. While he isn’t allowed to run around now, he still has a bit of energy that slows that he would love to run around and play once he is able. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. March 17, 2026, 8:33 pm

Story
Bella is an 8 year old energetic husky who loves being part of the group. She is an only dog in the house at the moment but has lived with up to two others (lab/retriever mix and pitty mix) in the past. She typically gets exercise with daily walks around the neighborhood and free roam in the back fenced in yard. She enjoys “talking” to you when she’s excited or wanting to play. She’s good with other big dogs and kids, and high energy. Her crate is her safe spot and she is happy to spend time in it when we leave the house for errands but wants to be out and part of the activities as soon as we return home.I have raised Bella since she was an 8 week puppy and I love her so but we recently added a third young child to the family and she does not get the attention she once received. This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be writing up but I truly want what’s best for her and get the attention I can’t give her right now.

Story
Hi my name is Nikita! I am a fun-loving, spunky dog, on the hunt for my new partner in crime. I love meeting new people, going for long walks, playing with enrichment toys like Kong Wobblers, and eating any snacks you`ll give me. I have a history with chasing cats, so I shouldn`t go to a home with feline friends. I can be sensitive about sharing snacks with other dogs, so I would do best in a home without other dogs as well. Do you have room in your home and heart for a gorgeous girl like me? I look forward to building our relationship together if you come in to meet me soon!Nikita has heartworm which means that this dog has parasitic worms in the right ventricle of the heart and nearby blood vessels. Heartworm is transmitted from one dog to another by mosquitoes and can be easily prevented using monthly heartworm preventative, but once the disease is contracted the treatment process can be quite intensive. Nikita will need to remain sedentary with minimal activity during the treatment process to ensure a healthy recovery. There is additional information on heartworm disease and treatment available at our Adoption Desk. The heartworm injections for treatment are covered by HSHV, but there may be additional costs associated with clinical care.

Hi my name is Bailey! I am a shy kind of dog who is looking for a patient owner who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. Story
Loki`s owners are looking for a new home for him and have provided this information:Loki (yes name after the marvel show) is a Husky with a strong personality and loves to greet you with a special howl. He is chill but can be a bit energetic when he gets excited about the things he loves, like going outside to run around in the yard, treats or a brand new toy. We adopted Loki when he was 1 year old with heartworms (which has since been treated and cured). We don`t know much about his background but we believe he didn`t have the best one. Loki can be a bit sassy when he wants but also loving when he needs to be. He did start off with behavioral problems in the beginning for example, escaping his crate and breaking in the process but has been corrected since. He has come a long way and just needs a loving home with an experienced owner who has the time and patience for him. Ps. Fun fact Loki has Heterochromia ( one blue eye and the other brown)Diet: His stomach doesn’t handle chicken well, so we stopped feeding it to him once we realized it started to upset his stomach. Our favorite to feed him is the Costco or Meijer brand of salmon or turkey. weight: about 60 poundsgood with dogs: YEScats: UNKNOWNkids: UNKOWNhouse-trained: YESspecial needs: NOexperienced adopter: YESfenced yard needed: YESLoki~born~11/18/19_____Standard and Special Breed adoption fees includes age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm test, spay/neuter and microchip! Please use these links for our:Online Adoption Application: paawarren.org/adopt/adoption-application-formWebsite for details, info: paawarren.org***PAAW’s Cat Café is now open in Farmington Hills!
