🐼 Meet Panda – Half Husky, Half Mystery, 100% Drama Queen 🐾 Breed: Husky / Mixed Breed (think: fluffy chaos with eyeliner) Sex: Female (tiny diva in training) Weight: 20 lbs of zoom-fueled fluff Age: Still a baby, but already has main character energy Location: Bossing everyone around in her foster home Adoption Fee: $300 (includes snuggles, side-eye, and endless entertainment) [Tell Your Roommate You Found Your Soulmate] Hi. I’m Panda. No, I’m not black and white, but I am just as adorable and slightly unhinged. At only 5 months old, I’ve already mastered the art of dramatic flops, high-speed zoomies, and making humans fall in love with me in under 6 seconds. 💅 Things I excel at: Being ridiculously cute Making you question who really runs the house Dramatic howling (I’m 5% opera singer, 95% Husky) Convincing other dogs to play chase even when they didn’t sign up for it 🧠 I’m smart. Too smart. Like, "figure out how to open the treat jar with my paws while you're in a Zoom meeting" smart. I’ll need an active home where I can channel my genius and adorable chaos into something productive—like fetch, or world domination. If you’re ready for a pint-sized powerhouse of fluff, sass, and snuggles... Panda is your girl. Bonus: She won’t eat bamboo, but she will steal your heart.

Story
Meet Socks! He's a happy go lucky guy! Socks just wants to have fun! Everything from 5-gallon buckets, balls, empty feed bags, tug toys are for running around the yard, shaking and tackling! This is a fetching and frisbee-loving dog! This guy loves to play and wants to be by your side when you are doing chores, cooking or watching TV. He’ll sit by you, lay his head in your lap or lay at your feet. He’s a big cuddler and is great with kids! This sweet boy came to us as a “wild man”, “Dennis the Menace”, “the Big Lebowski” with a touch of “Frat Boy” and in a few short weeks he’s become a solid family dog who sits and waits, kennels when asked and takes treats very gently. Just imagine what you can teach him! We think he’ll be a good car dog too, who’ll love to jump in the van with you and the kids for a day at the lake. Maybe he is part Golden Lab? Socks will bring you a toy when you walk in the door, welcoming you home. He’s a great dog and you couldn't ask for a better playmate! Socks will come fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $200. Apply to adopt Socks today at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUCK/Dog or at www.lucky13rescue.org.

Story
Hi, I’m Timber! I’m an 8-year-old Husky with a big heart and a love for playtime. When I meet other dogs, I love to do my little play bow to invite them to have some fun—it usually works! I may be a senior, but I’ve still got plenty of pep in my step and a whole lot of love to give. I’m a big fan of head scratches (seriously, I’ll melt for them) and I’m already kennel and house trained, so I know how to be a respectful roommate. I haven’t been around cats yet, so we’re not sure how I’d do with them—but with a proper intro, who knows? If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion with soulful eyes and a heart full of love, I just might be your guy. Apply to adopt me at lucky13rescue.org—I’ll be waiting! My adoption fee is $100. This fee covers my vaccinations, microchip, heartworm testing and neuter surgery.

Story
We are a matched based adoption agency, if you see a dog in our program in which you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online application at kcpaws.org and one of our adoptions counselors will be in touch once your application has been screened. Please note that we do require dogs to meet all members of the family including existing pets in the home before finalizing during your in home adoption. Katmai is heartworm positive and looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home! She is 2 years old, spayed, 44 pounds, and up to date on all other vetting. Despite her past, Katmai is the sweetest girl on the planet that is full of love! Katmai was found living outside with her 6 puppies on the coldest day of the year! There were multiple reports saying she had been in the area for a while and that the 6 puppies were not her first litter. We quickly jumped to action to get them safe and warm and on their journey to furever homes. The puppies got all their required vetting and went off to their happily ever afters, but poor, sweet Katmai still has another obstacle to overcome in her heartworm treatment. Treating heartworms is a lengthy and expensive process and we are committed to helping her get rid of them! However, she would recover much faster in a home environment rather than our facility. She is sad and stressed in the shelter as she's not used to being cooped up around lots of other animals. She would love nothing more than to have a human to snuggle and adventure with. If you can find it in your heart to help this girl, please fill out an application at kcpaws.org!
