Housetrained, super sweet and would love to be in a family home with kids. Rescued as a stray. This girl is a senior with an attitude! She’s got a strong personality and gets along with other dogs so long as there’s no food around. Low maintenance- meaning not demanding and a good energy level. If this listing is still posted, we are still accepting applications. We do not do out-of-state adoptions. We do not hold dogs, please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. We commonly receive multiple applications for a single dog. Nevertheless, only one applicant will be invited to meet a dog at a mutually agreeable appointment day, time & place. Usually Petsmart Yorba Linda or our Santa Ana location near South Coast Plaza. All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc.

Meet Fry, a 10 month old pug mix with the most adorable pout. Fry came in with his sister, Leela, and they were terrified of their new surroundings. At 10 months old, they were just experiencing walking on a leash for the first time. Now he is walking so well on leash, and loves to take nice leisurely strolls where he can sniff as much as his little heart desires. We’ve loved seeing him blossom as much as he has while here at the shelter. His playful side is starting to come out and we think he’d do great in a home with another dog! He may need some time to warm up when meeting new people, but a little patience and some treats sure go a long way! At this time, the shelter is requiring him to go home with another dog, to help bring him out of his shell and bridge his relationship to people! His sister Leela and him make an adorable pair, but if you have another playful pup at home that would work too! Fry follows the lead of the other, more confident pups, to show him that people are friends and not as scary as he thinks they are. Even with another dog in the home, he may require more than one visit before he starts to open up and be comfortable enough to go home.March 7, 2026, 9:20 pm

This kiddo is cute as a bug…hence the name BUGSY! He is your typical pug, so sweet and goofy. This kiddo is a great walker, likes his toys, and gets along great with other dogs! He came in missing a lot of hair because he has a flea allergy and his previous family could no longer afford flea medication or his care. We got him started right away on flea meds and started bathing him every other day to get him back into tip top shape! Bugsy is paired up with a few pups and he just loves having friends! He is a cuddly guy who loves to get into your lap. We know this kiddo will make someone very happy! Hopefully he will find someone that can look past his current hair situation so he doesn’t have to be here long! Bugsy will be so happy to have a family of his own again.March 12, 2026, 3:25 pm
