Story
Wezley is about 4 years old, just over 20 pounds, and fully aware that he has opinions. He came to us after being relinquished because he started resource guarding his previous owner from her husband. Wezley takes his people very seriously, what can he say! In the right home, this is something that can be worked on. He is currently on medication for anxiety, and with structure, training, and continued socialization, he has a lot of potential to improve. Now that you know the serious part, here’s the real Wezley:He is a velcro pug in the truest sense. He wants to be near his person, always. He loves cuddles, sunshine, car rides, walks, running around, and rolling in grass like it’s his job. Then he’ll flip the switch and happily go off to sleep on his own like nothing happened. He also knows a ton of cues already: sit, stay, down, spin, roll, speak, wait, shake, outside, and all variations of “food” and “treat.” He is very smart and very food motivated, which is a big advantage for continued training. He does have some things he’s not a fan of, including nail trims, ear cleaning, loud noises, some male humans, and some larger dogs. So he’ll do best with structure, clear boundaries, and someone who understands dog body language and management.Since being with us, Wezley has actually done well with other dogs and all the people he's met! He can groom and relax with other dogs and enjoys being part of a calmer group energy. He also really likes people and is very into attention and belly rubs once he trusts you.Wezley is a lot of dog in a small body. Smart, affectionate, intense about his people, and full of personality. He’s not a beginner dog, but in the right home, he’s going to be deeply loyal and very attached to his person. He knows exactly who he is. Now he just needs someone who’s ready for that! Could that be you? Please inquire today!

Story
With a name like Champion Blue, you might expect a superstar...and this little guy sure lives up to it! At 10 years old and 17 pounds, Champion Blue has already overcome a lot in life, having been abandoned at a shelter simply for being a senior with a few minor medical needs. Thankfully, the shelter reached out to us to take him in and now he's ready to find the forever home he’s been dreaming of.Don’t let his age fool you Champion Blue has a spark of mischief and energy that will make you smile every day. He takes daily gabapentin for arthritis and an anti-inflammatory to keep him comfortable, but that doesn’t stop him from zooming across the room for treats, toys, or just to join the action. He’s a little wobbly on his feet sometimes, but his heart is full of courage, curiosity, and pure joy.Champion Blue loves the simple pleasures in life: cuddles on the couch, gentle pets, and long, lazy lounging sessions where he can soak up all the attention. But don’t be surprised if the quiet is broken by a sudden burst of playful zoomies or a funny little hop - he’s silly, spunky, and completely charming. He gets along with other dogs, especially calm companions who understand his pace, and he’s ready to share his home with someone who will adore him and help him age gracefully. Champion Blue’s perfect match is a quiet household, filled with love, patience, and lots of lap time. He may be a senior, but his heart is young, and he’s ready to be your loyal, goofy, and utterly lovable sidekick. He may have had a rough start, but his next chapter will be the happiest yet! Could you be the hero to his story? Please inquire today!

Story
Root Beer lives up to her name: sweet, smooth, and easy to love! At 3 years old and weighing 16 pounds, she came to us after being found as a stray and from the moment we picked her up from the shelter, it was like she understood she was finally safe. She rode in the car like a pro: calm, content, and happiest when she was being held close. For a dog who may have spent a long time on her own she adjusted to kindness like she had been waiting for it.When Root Beer first arrived, it was clear she hadn’t been properly cared for. Her skin needed attention and her body told the story of a life that hadn’t always been easy. But none of that shows up in her spirit. Root Beer is soft in all the right ways, she's gentle, trusting, and ready to love again without hesitation. She has a sweet, easygoing personality and just wants to be part of someone’s life. If you’re sitting down, she’ll happily come over. If you’re moving around, she’ll quietly follow along. If there’s affection available, she will absolutely accept it!!Root Beer does great with other dogs and enjoys their company, especially when things are calm and friendly. She also really loves her human friends and leans into any attention she can get. She’s asking for a home where she can belong, be loved, and never have to wonder what comes next again. Story
Willee is 3 years old, 25 pounds, and ready to find the person who is going to make him part of the family for good. This big lovable guy came to us when his previous owner was no longer able to care for him. Thankfully, Willee is the kind of dog who doesn’t spend too much time looking backward he’s much more interested in what’s happening next. And what’s happening next is hopefully a life full of walks, adventures, snacks, and a forever home!Willee is a curious little explorer with a lot of personality. He loves getting outside, going for walks, checking out the world around him, and being involved in whatever his people are doing. He’s got plenty of energy and enthusiasm, and he’s happiest when he has something fun to do.He is currently working on getting back to his ideal weight, but luckily Willee is a great sport because of how much he enjoys being active. He also...of course... loves treats, which means training with him is a lot of fun! He’s smart, food motivated and would love a family that will keep teaching him new things and giving him plenty of enrichment.Willee is also a social guy. He enjoys other dogs, loves meeting people, and has the kind of happy-go-lucky attitude that makes him easy to root for. He’s young, adaptable, and ready to jump into the next chapter of his life. His perfect home is one that will keep his body moving, his brain busy, and his heart full. Someone who wants a companion for walks, adventures, and all the little everyday moments that make having a dog so great. Willee has a lot of love to give he just needs somewhere to put it! Story
Daizy is a 4-year-old, 28-pound big girl with a big heart and a whole lot of personality! Her journey has been a little complicated. She was originally sponsored by another rescue and went into a foster home, but after a long time without adoption interest and communication breaking down, her foster continued caring for her and trying to find her the right home. After about a year, it became clear that Daizy and one of the resident dogs just weren’t the perfect match, so her foster reached out to us to help Daizy find the family she’s been waiting for.And honestly? We’re so glad she’s here. Daizy is a total people dog. She bonds hard with her person and will happily be your little shadow, following you around and making sure you never feel alone. Her foster said she loves sleeping next to her person, giving kisses, going on walks, and soaking up all the attention she can get.Daizy is a fun mix of sweet and sassy. She has a confident personality and knows what she likes. With other dogs, she has done well here with calmer friends and seems to prefer dogs who are more laid-back and willing to let her be herself. She can be a little bossy sometimes (she’s got opinions!), so a mellow canine companion or being the only dog in the home may be the best fit.But don’t let that fool you... Daizy is still a playful girl! She loves walks, enjoys exploring, and has plenty of energy for adventures with her people. She’s also very treat motivated, which makes working with her and continuing her training a lot of fun.Her foster also shared some of her quirks: she loves kisses, can be a professional licker, and apparently believes dogs on TV need to be barked at. She’s got personality, what can we say?Daizy is looking for a home where she can be someone’s best friend where she gets the love, attention, and stability she deserves. She’s been waiting a long time for her person, and we think they’re going to be very lucky. Interested in Daizy? Please inquire today!

Story
Kili is about 4 years old, 17 pounds, and one of those dogs who completely changes the way you think about resilience. He came to us from a very difficult situation where he was repeatedly attacked by another dog in his previous home. As a result, he lost both eyes and is now completely blind. Despite everything he has been through, Kili is still curious, social, and very much interested in life! And honestly, he adapts faster than you’d expect. When he was fostered for a short time by one of our volunteers, he spent the first bit carefully mapping out the space, then confidently decided the coffee table was the perfect place to settle in! Once he learns an environment, he moves through it with surprising confidence.Kili enjoys sleeping in bed with his people, staying close, and being part of daily routines. Because he relies on his other senses, he stays very tuned in to sounds, voices, and especially anything happening in the kitchen. If food is being prepared, Kili will be right at your heels waiting for his share! He responds well to voice guidance and really enjoys being talked to and included. He’s affectionate, calm, and happiest when he knows where his people are. With other dogs, Kili does best with calm, mellow companions who aren’t overly rough or chaotic. He prefers a steady, predictable environment where he can feel secure. He would do best in a home where someone is around often, with a setup that is safe and easy to navigate for a blind dog. Once he learns his space, he does very well, but consistency is important for him.Kili is different, but not in a way that limits him. He’s in a way that makes you slow down and appreciate how adaptable dogs can be. He still wants connection, comfort, routine, and love just like any other dog. He's amazing!
