Story
Casey is a 17 lb pug mix - like most pugs, Casey seems to be affectionate, playful, and adaptable. Casey had one of her eyes removed prior to coming to us due to a previous injury, which just makes her look even more unique! We are still getting to know her, but we can say this is one sweet girl.

Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more herePikachu is an adorable pug mix, 2 years old and 11 pounds, with the cutest little snaggle tooth that will absolutely steal your heart. A silly boy full of personality, he loves to crawl around and spin in joyful circles when he’s excited, which is often! In his foster home, Pikachu is playful and does well with other dogs. He’s also a champion snuggler once he feels comfortable, though he can be a bit nervous around new people. He'll thrive with someone patient and experienced who will help him build confidence at his own pace. Older kids who can respect his boundaries would be fine. Pikachu is mostly potty trained and fully crate trained. He can be left alone, but he might bark if he thinks you’re home and not including him. Pikachu does have a chase instinct (birds beware!), so a home without cats or small animals is best. If you’re looking for a goofy, affectionate little guy with a crooked smile and a big heart, Pikachu could be a great addition to your home. Follow him in foster with @furryfostersalameda on Instagram, and click here to learn how to adopt and submit your adoption questionnaire.December 24, 2025, 1:20 pm

Story
Thelma is sweet, smart, energetic, loyal, and goofy! She is mostly housetrained and is working on her leash skills. She gets along well with other dogs and older kids. (She has not been introduced to cats yet.) She can be a bit anxious, so she probably needs someone who is mostly home. She loves her squeaky toys and playing tug-a-war with other dogs. Meet this sweetie by filling out a questionnaire and a volunteer will contact you. (JH) Thelma weighs 18 pounds.
