Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Bailey is a sweet, 3 year old mixed breed, guesses on the breed mix, Rat Terrier or JRT/Beagle/Whippet? (guessing!) She is a very sweet girl, has lived with other dogs, but is better with dogs her size or bigger and maybe better to mix with males. She was a little dominant with a smaller, meeker female than her (Terrier!? ) So best with perhaps male or larger, males or can be a solo dog.   Interested in adopting? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Beau is the sweetest little guy. He is a very mixed breed, and we are guessing on his breed mix. He is a very happy little fellow, quite puppyish at one-year-old. He loves to play with other dogs, but also loves getting all the attention from his people, so can be a solo dog.  Beau is a total goof ball. He is very entertaining and like a natural comedian. He will definitely keep you laughing. He is full of charm, is good with other dogs, and has lived with cats.  Beau is somewhat shy when meeting new people, but once he knows you and knows you are "safe" he opens up and is his sweet, happy, puppy like self. He needs a gentle home, but one that can offer him the fun and activity he seeks. Adult home only or Adult with older children, teenagers, etc.  Interested in adopting? I’m a little girl with a big personality. The first chapter of my life was spent living with a breeder down south where I shared a kennel with other dogs. But that didn’t break my spirit it only made me more excited for chapter 2. Since arriving in Minnesota, I’ve been learning to potty outside on a schedule, walk on a leash, and hang out with my foster parent's two large dogs. With all this warm weather I’m spending more time outside in the backyard exploring and listening to all the different sounds. I do require a securely fenced yard while I become more comfortable walking on leash. I can tell that everyone is happy with me because they keep telling me what a smart and funny girl I am. I don’t care for my crate but since I’ve got it all to myself it’s not so bad and I’m getting used to it again. Shared walls are not recommended since I can get vocal when left alone. When my family is home I am a chill little lady, so at the end of the day, my foster mom loves to cuddle with me while watching our favorite shows. This is the best part of my day! If you’re looking for a smart, loyal, cuddle bug I’m your gal. I’d love to meet you so we can make chapter 2 the best one yet!! Story
Harry and Eleanor?? Such SERIOUS names for a couple of goofy pups! We came from a somewhat sad and seriously MESSED up place but now we may be a little shy but we are definitely NOT SERIOUS :) We are JRT/Rat Terrier mixed siblings, each of us is cute and loving in our own right. Under 15# of absolute adorableness is who we are. We are both still a little nervous, I mean we came from a pretty horrific situation so know that we were not handled and loved on until the last month or so in our foster home... but we are learning so much and having a blast! We are great together but do not have to be adopted together. We will need at least another dog with us to show us the ropes and keep us company in our new family. We are good with everyone so that will be pretty easy :) Look one of us up and ADOPT...DON'T SHOP!!! SO MANY LIVES' DEPEND ON IT!! Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $600 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
We are a retired couple. We have been traveling extensively and just bought a home in Gulfport. All the traveling is hard on Chachi, he needs a place to be without moving around so much. Chachi is a loving little dog who loves to snuggle with you. He can be on his own at home. He likes his "home" kennel. He is good with people once he gets to know them, same with kids. At first he can be very nervous and barking at strangers. He is good on walks and is overjoyed to ride in the car. He is mostly good with other dogs, sometimes barks at larger black dogs. He came from Texas where he was raised by a family that could no longer keep him. We have had him three years and we do love him, but think he needs a more stable home life. Not so much traveling around.

Chachi is a great little guy, but he needs a stable loving home. We are traveling too much. He has become nervous and barky at strangers. He is good on walks, walking by anyone and outside. He is good at home alone. He likes his kennel. He is a very good dog. Healthy. Is good with our grandkids, but he needs to warm up to strangers and his barking might scare a younger child. He needs a stable loving environment. He has done well with traveling but is getting nervous around strangers . He barks at them.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $250 plus tax Meet Melo with the wagging tail that never seems to stop.  Melo is a playful dog who loves to run, play and explore. He is incredibly friendly and affectionate with people. He loves to look out the window and watch TV. Although he can get pretty excited when he spots a squirrel or his favorite team scores. He is reliably housetrained and enjoy’s sleeping in bed with you or in his kennel. Melo would do well in a home with a yard where he can run and play. Melo does best with slower intros to other dogs who are also willing to engage in some playtime shenanigans. Kids are great but he will want to play with them and may jump up on or knock them over in excitement. We do not know how Melo is with cats.  **Melo has a condition called hypoadrenocorticism (Addison's disease) which is when the adrenal glands do not function properly. The adrenal glands produce numerous important hormones that help to regulate the body. With Addison's disease the adrenal glands do not make enough hormone to properly regulate the body so supplementation is necessary. There is no cure for Addison's disease but it can be well managed with twice daily oral medication and a monthly injection. Recheck bloodwork every 6-12 months will also be required to make sure he remains on the correct medication dose. Cost for the medication is about $50-60 per month. When well-managed with medication Melo can still live a happy and healthy life with a normal expected lifespan. *Melo has had only one crisis and that was when he was first diagnosed. He has had no signs of sickness since being on his meds.***       Please feel free to fill out an ADOPTION APPLICATION by clicking on the button below. Thank You!       Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //
