Story

🐾 Meet Ruby! 🐾 Ruby is an adorable 8-week-old puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This little girl is full of puppy energy and loves to play, explore, and soak up attention from her people. Ruby is great with kids and other dogs and would thrive in an active home where she can run, play, and continue learning about the world. Like most puppies her age, she’s curious, playful, and ready to be someone’s best friend. Ruby isn’t particularly fond of cats, so she would do best in a cat-free home. She is still a baby and will need a family committed to training, socialization, and lots of love as she grows. In return, Ruby promises endless puppy kisses, zoomies, and a lifetime of loyalty. 💜 If you’re looking for a fun, energetic companion to grow up with your family, Ruby might be your perfect match! Please fill out an adoption application to meet Ruby! https://form.jotform.com/leosfriendsrescue/adoption-application

Story

Meet Chuck! He's seven years old, 65 pounds and 100% lovable. Unfortunately, Chuck's family travels too much and can no longer care for him. Legacy Humane Society is helping them find a new family who can give Chuck the time and attention he deserves. Chuck is house trained and can is trusted to roam his home when alone. He loves going for walks, rides well in the car, and loves playing in water/swimming. He is perfectly fine to relax around the house but has plenty of energy for playtime as well. He would do best in a home with another dog and is great with kids. Chuck is a gentle boy who loves being with people but can get a little nervous when he's left alone for long periods of time. He's neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. Chuck's adoption fee is $200 and you can apply to meet/adopt him here: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story

Dolly is a joyful girl who is easy to handle, loves a good belly rub and engaging with everyone she has met. Dolly is currently non-weight-bearing on her right forelimb (RF), with noticeable swelling of digit #3. These symptoms may indicate a painful injury or underlying medical condition requiring prompt veterinary evaluation and treatment. Without appropriate intervention, Dolly may experience continued pain, worsening swelling, and further complications. She requires further diagnostic assessment and appropriate medical care to determine the underlying cause and provide relief. This level of veterinary evaluation and treatment may exceed what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.Despite her condition, Dolly deserves a safe, compassionate placement where she can receive prompt veterinary evaluation, appropriate treatment, and supportive care to improve her comfort and mobility.Dolly is at risk for euthanasia due to medical concerns beyond our scope of care. Story

Shiner is a sweet 7 year about to be 8 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback. She loves walks, being with her owners, and is loyal 100%. She loves going to dog parks and playing and running with the other dogs but will always make sure to come and find her owners. The reason for the rehoming is we have a young child and are not able to keep up with the exercise demands that Rhodesians require. She is fully house trained and even did training directly with all dogs unleashed. Her walking ability is great as she doesn’t pull on the leash at all and will walk right by your side.
