Story

🐾 Meet Ruby! 🐾 Ruby is an adorable 8-week-old puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This little girl is full of puppy energy and loves to play, explore, and soak up attention from her people. Ruby is great with kids and other dogs and would thrive in an active home where she can run, play, and continue learning about the world. Like most puppies her age, she’s curious, playful, and ready to be someone’s best friend. Ruby isn’t particularly fond of cats, so she would do best in a cat-free home. She is still a baby and will need a family committed to training, socialization, and lots of love as she grows. In return, Ruby promises endless puppy kisses, zoomies, and a lifetime of loyalty. 💜 If you’re looking for a fun, energetic companion to grow up with your family, Ruby might be your perfect match! Please fill out an adoption application to meet Ruby! https://form.jotform.com/leosfriendsrescue/adoption-application

Story

Shiner is a sweet 7 year about to be 8 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback. She loves walks, being with her owners, and is loyal 100%. She loves going to dog parks and playing and running with the other dogs but will always make sure to come and find her owners. The reason for the rehoming is we have a young child and are not able to keep up with the exercise demands that Rhodesians require. She is fully house trained and even did training directly with all dogs unleashed. Her walking ability is great as she doesn’t pull on the leash at all and will walk right by your side.

Story

Meet Chuck! He's seven years old, 65 pounds and 100% lovable. Unfortunately, Chuck's family travels too much and can no longer care for him. Legacy Humane Society is helping them find a new family who can give Chuck the time and attention he deserves. Chuck is house trained and can is trusted to roam his home when alone. He loves going for walks, rides well in the car, and loves playing in water/swimming. He is perfectly fine to relax around the house but has plenty of energy for playtime as well. He would do best in a home with another dog and is great with kids. Chuck is a gentle boy who loves being with people but can get a little nervous when he's left alone for long periods of time. He's neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. Chuck's adoption fee is $200 and you can apply to meet/adopt him here: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story

🎶🩷 Adopt Reba or Dolly 🩷🎶 These sisters were dumped and helped by Good Samaritans. They seem to have been in a home at one point because they have very good house manners - potty and crate trained and LOOOVVVEEE their people. They walk great on a leash and are good car riders. Each are about 70 lbs of pure love. Dolly and Reba are 2 years old and have the best smiles and if you want a good tv buddy - they are happy to sit right next to you. In fact, as close as they can to cuddle! They are good with other dogs and kids but chase cats so probably best in a cat free home. The girls look to be hound/ridgeback mixes. Come meet these beauties. Reba and Dolly are available through Animal Advocates of North Texas and are being fostered in Southlake. They will be totally vetted. Please help us by sharing this post!

DAISY

Story

DAISY and POPPY ARE SIBLINGS. All abandoned in the country. There were originally three and one was adopted on her own. We have had these precious girls many months now, with plenty of opportunities to watch their interactions and play style. While, in general, we do NOT recommend adopting siblings, these two have proven to be the exception to the rule. They LOVE each other and have never, ever had a raised lip, a side-eyed look, a growl or anything else. We would really love for them to be adopted together. HOWEVER, WE WILL CONSIDER ADOPTING THEM SEPARATELY. All the girls are very smart, but Daisy is especially so. Daisy will sit and watch the hummingbirds and watch for the squirrels! We laughingly call Daisy the "good sister" because she is low key and wants to please you - obeying whatever you ask. If the sisters were in high school, Daisy would be on the debate team and in honors classes. For more information on adopting Daisy, please email Gail at can.adoptions@yahoo.com.
