Bandit is a sweet senior who wants nothing more than your love. He is the perfect combination of sweet and shy that makes your heart melt. While his pictures make him look big, he is actually a pocket sized rottweiler mix at about 55 pounds. He loves his trusted humans unconditionally and wants to shadow you whenever he can. Bandit is guaranteed to add lots of love, kisses and cuddles to your life. Where there is warmth you will find Bandit; warmth from the sun, from a heater, from a fur friend or from a human. He sometimes thinks he’s a lap dog and will plop himself on your lap for a nap, taking comfort in being with his human. Bandit has lived with small dogs, dogs his size, adult men, and adult women and has done well with all. He does take a moment to warm up to new people, sounds, and places. Bandit has a few health issues going on that sometimes impact his behavior. He has hip dysplasia, hyperthyroidism, arthritis, and early stage kidney disease. While 99% of the time Bandit is an absolute sweetheart, if any of his medication is off, if he overdoes his physical exercise, or if he is feeling anxious he may growl or snap. Because of this, Bandit should only be adopted by an experienced dog handler. Bandit is currently on thyro-tabs, joint supplements, and anti-anxiety medication. The cost of all of his medication is less than $100 per month. Bandit deserves his forever family. **Meet Blue Saturday, February 28th from 10 to 1 at Dublin Petsmart west, 6960 Amador Plaza Rd.** Blue just came into our foster program and he's doing wonderfully in his foster home. He's a young Doberman mix, about a year old, and he weighs 37 pounds. He is neutered , vaccinated and microchipped. When Blue arrived at the shelter, he was very frightened and even afraid to lift his head to eat or drink. After a few days, he seemed to look forward to having visitors at his kennel and he started to wag his tail when a friendly volunteer approached. He still couldn't work up the courage to even stand up. It took over a week before he was ready to leave his kennel on his own for walks and socialization. Blue has now become familiar with several people and he's getting used to all the comforts of a loving home. He's playful, likes toys and fetch. He is joyful and eager to play when other dogs come to greet him. Blue is a very good dog and he deserves and needs a person or family who has patience and understands that he'll need some time to become more confident and to explore new environments and meet new people. Having a canine pal who can show him the ropes would be helplful.
