While in his foster home, we learned that Tommy is deaf and has an old, healed lumbosacral fracture likely the result of past trauma. This injury causes him to be a little wobbly in his hind end, giving him the cutest, most endearing wiggle and bunny hops you’ve ever seen. His neurological quirks don’t slow him down one bit they’re simply part of who he is. Tommy is currently learning how to communicate through a vibration collar, and he’s picking it up beautifully. He’s smart, eager to learn, and so incredibly sweet. His foster describes him as the most innocent big puppy you’ll ever meet, a boy who has every reason to give up, yet chooses joy every single day. Waldo was found as a stray in November 4 and was scheduled to be euthanized on December 2 despite being the friendliest cuddliest little meatball you will ever meet. My wife and I pulled him off the kill list so that he could have another shot at life and he is already becoming a wonderful part of our dog pack. We would keep him but we already have three dogs and don't have space for another. Waldo is about two years old neutered potty trained and absolutely LOVES playing with other dogs–he's as wiggly and happy as they come. He imprints quickly on people and becomes an instant lover–every time my wife and I sit down on our couch or lie down in our bed he comes up to cuddle with us / sleep next to us. He is just starting to learn his name–he comes when called in the house but he hasn't been off leash in the park and we are just beginning recall and obedience training. He is very submissive and responds well to corrections from other dogs and has already learned to walk in our pack. He is very treat motivated and already knows sit as well as paw! Waldo still has the playful friendliness and eager-to-please demeanor of a puppy so having an adopter who will help continue to socialize and train him will be key! We are helping Waldo's current guardian to rehome him. Please fill out our online application and we will forward to them. Adoption fee would be minimum $100 donation to Furry Friends Rescue. Her adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable), plus the cost of her spay surgery. Millie qualifies for Fluffy Dog Friday! Adopt her on a Friday and we'll waive her adoption fee!
