Dior is a 2 1/2 year old rottweiler -pitbull mix. Her features resemble a rottweiler, but she’s on the smaller side (pitbull sized). She is friendly, house trained, and good with children and other pets. Dior has had a rough start to life as I am aware of two previous owners, the most recent being a homeless man. Do to inconsistency and being bounced around, Dior has developed separation anxiety. I am currently fostering her to keep her off the streets and out of a shelter, but I cannot fully commit to adopting her as I already have pets of my own and not enough space to keep another. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. We got Bo as a puppy from a breeder in south central Pennsylvania. He will be turning 10 in December. We are looking for an individual or couple with no other pets or young children and experienced with large dogs that have some behavioral issues. Unfortunately, we have a 4 year old son and and another coming in a few weeks and are no longer able to provide the care an attention needed for an aging dog. When not stressed out, he is really a sweet boy who just wants lots of attention and pets from his owner. However, he is a fairly anxious dog and can be aggressive toward other dogs and is generally scared of small children. He enjoys his walks and occasional playtime with toys, but generally he is a quiet and lazy dog. Please reach out if you have any questions or are interested in learning more about Bo.
