Story
Hi hoomans, it’s me, Sommer, your resident 6‑pound cuddle bug and part‑time chaos intern. Big news: I went outside for the very first time this week. Wow. So many smells. So many things to explore. So much room to run and play with the resident dogs. I am thoroughly intrigued by this thing called a hose and the wet stuff that comes out of it. Reminds me of my first week here with all of my spa days. Uncle Max has been teaching me how to watch squirrels like a serious dog. I stand next to him and stare at the fence, but honestly…I have no idea what we’re waiting for. He seems very passionate about it, though, so I pretend I understand. I’m feeling better, getting braver, but still like being held so I can shove my whole face into your neck like a baby koala. Foster life is pretty great. Love, Sommer 🐶✨ Sommer’s first few days here were a little “ruff” — poor girl had some tummy troubles and mostly wanted to snooze. But now that she’s feeling better, her puppy personality is bursting through. She’s playing with toys (Lamb Chop is the reigning favorite), wrestling with her brother Kayce, and treating foster mom’s walking boot like her own personal jungle gym. She loves being held, burying her face in your neck, and has become surprisingly accustomed to her frequent “spa days” thanks to those tummy issues. 😆 She loves when the big resident dogs come over to say hello, she gets up and runs over to give kisses 🥰 This little girl is a beauty and her name is Sommer. This is her story. A mama dog was pulled off the streets and safely delivered 9 puppies in foster care. They’ve been loved and cared for since birth… but then the original foster’s landlord found out, and the puppies had to be moved immediately. Dallas Dog - Rescue.Rehab.Reform brought them into the fold and they have been separated into smaller groups for fostering. They are: 🐾 Medium‑breed pups 🐾 Social, playful, and used to being together 🐾 At a critical age where consistency matters We are beginning to accept adoption applications so we can place them in stable homes as soon as they’re ready. Pairs are ideal, but single‑pup adopters committed to proper socialization are welcome too. If you’ve been thinking about adopting, now is the moment to step in for one of these babies. www.dallasdog.org

Meet Carter, an adorable 12-week-old puppy weighing 20 pounds with a beautiful brindle coat. He will grow into a medium-sized dog. He’s smart, eager to please, and has a fun yet calm personality. He’s been working on all the commands and is sure to charm you with his talents. A sweet little male with a story to tell. He is such a good boy. Certified cuddle expert. Professional tail wagger. He believes every human is his best friend and every snack should legally be shared with him. A mama dog was pulled off the streets and safely delivered 9 puppies in foster care. Story
Laramie is a beautiful little girl. She’s very sweet and friendly. She wants to say hi to everyone and give them kisses. She gets along great with other dogs and has spent time with children and was good with them too. She has a foster cat sister and would really like to play with her too but the kitty isnt a fan of puppyness. She’s got puppy energy and loves to play and chew. She follows her foster dog sister around and they play, although she’s going to need a bigger playmate. She loves to run and would do great with a yard! Here is her story. A mama dog was pulled off the streets and safely delivered 9 puppies in foster care. They’ve been loved and cared for since birth… but then the original foster’s landlord found out, and the puppies had to be moved immediately. Hi, I’m Kayce, the 25.5 lb lap dog you’ve been searching for! My foster parents say I’m only 14 weeks old, but look at these legs! I am built for long walks, backyard zoomies, and absolute elite-level couch snuggling. 🌟 Boxer mix on paper, brindle Black Mouth Cur in looks, and 100% good boy in personality. 🐕 Great with dogs: Play with a GSD, Pocket Bully, and Terrier. 🐈 Cat friendly: Safely living with 2 foster cats. 🎓 Smart boy: Already knows 'sit' and 'down'. 💤 Crate trained: Doing amazing and age-appropriate. 🚽 Potty training: Working hard on potty training and going outside. I’m a smart, handsome pup with a huge heart, and I'm ready to find my forever family. ❤️ Hi everyone, it’s me, Kayce — your friendly neighborhood chaos nugget, wrestling champion, and professional zoom‑ologist. This week has been AWESOME: I got to run around outside and I have decided that the backyard is my personal amusement park. There are smells to sniff, sticks to chomp, and dogs to wrestle (lovingly of course). I take my job as Fun Supervisor very seriously. I also met a hose. I do NOT vibe with the hose. It wiggles. It sprays. It’s unpredictable. I barked at it once to let it know I’m watching, then retreated to a safe distance because I value my life. I’m getting braver, smarter, and sillier every day. I love exploring, wrestling, and doing independent puppy missions… but I also love cuddles. Especially the kind where I smush my face into foster mom's until she kisses my head. So anyway… I think I’m pretty awesome. And I think you might think I’m awesome too. Please adopt me so I can bring my zoomies, snuggles, and questionable decision‑making skills to your home. Love, Kayce 🐶 A mama dog was pulled off the streets and safely delivered 9 puppies in foster care. Story
He survived a chain. He survived a kennel. Now he just needs a family. This precious meathead is Champs. Big, strong, loyal, and full of love, Champs is looking for the family he's been waiting years to find. When Champs was rescued on May 22, 2022, he was living in a homeless camp chained to a tree with a heavy logging chain and padlock around his neck. The collar had become embedded in his skin, leaving a painful open wound. Despite the agony he must have endured day after day, Champs remained friendly to the people and dogs around him. Thankfully, someone stopped to help instead of walking away. Today, that wounded dog is gone. In his place is a happy, goofy, affectionate boy who loves being with his people. Champs is smart, eager to learn, and eager to please. He successfully completed our Canine Good Citizen program and loves having a job to do. Give him direction, consistency, and a few treats, and he's all in. He enjoys car rides, adventures, and spending time with his humans. He's the type of dog who wants to be included in whatever you're doing. Champs does well with other dogs, though proper introductions are important because he can be very enthusiastic when meeting new friends. Once he makes a friend, he's all about playtime and companionship. We are unsure how he would do with cats. At 60 pounds, Champs sometimes forgets his size and can be strong on leash, so we recommend a home with older children who won't be knocked over by his excitement. Most of all, Champs deserves a chance. He has spent the majority of his rescue journey in boarding, watching other dogs leave while he waits for someone to choose him. He's survived neglect. He's done the training. He's proven himself over and over. Now all he needs is a family. 🐾 6 years old 🐾 60 pounds 🐾 Canine Good Citizen graduate 🐾 Dog friendly with proper introductions 🐾 Loves car rides and adventures 🐾 Smart, loyal, and eager to please 🐾 Looking for a foster or forever home After years of waiting, Champs is more than ready to trade his kennel for a couch. ped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at http://dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
💔 Five Years Is Far Too Long 💔 Meet Pippi. Pippi is an 8-year-old, 47-pound sweetheart who has spent an unbelievable amount of her life waiting for someone to choose her. She has been in boarding since February 7, 2021. That's more than five years of watching other dogs leave while she stays behind. Despite everything, Pippi hasn't given up. She is a graduate of our Canine Good Citizen program and is one of the most well-trained dogs in our rescue. She knows sit, place, leave it, shake, and drop it. She loves her people, loves her toys, and absolutely lights up when a ball comes out. Pippi is fully house-trained and would thrive in a home where she can finally be part of a family. She adores her people and does well with male dogs, but she needs a home without female dogs or cats. Like many dogs who have spent years in a kennel environment, Pippi can get excited when she sees squirrels, cats, or bikes on walks. She has worked extensively with trainers and continues to make progress. What she really needs now is a chance to practice all those skills in a home of her own. Think about it. Since 2021, Pippi has watched seasons change, holidays come and go, puppies grow up, and hundreds of other dogs find families. Through it all, she has waited. And waited. And waited. We know her person is out there. ✔️ Canine Good Citizen Graduate ✔️ House-Trained ✔️ Loves People ✔️ Does Well With Male Dogs ✔️ Loves Toys and Fetch ✔️ Ready for a Real Home ❌ No Female Dogs ❌ No Cats Pippi has done everything we've asked of her. She has learned, grown, trained, and waited patiently. Now it's our turn to help her find what she's been missing for far too long: a family. If you can't adopt, please consider fostering. Even a temporary home would mean more to Pippi than you can imagine. 📧 adopt@dallasdogrrr.org Let's make sure Pippi doesn't spend another year waiting. ❤️
