Story
Zuri is a relaxed but vibrant mix. She loves to cuddle on her fluffy bed. Loves to play fetch and run with my energetic toodler. She will let you know when it’s bathroom time, or if she is hungry. As long as she knows you are around she is calm. She is also my guard dog, whenever anyone comes to the door she is alerting me immediately. She loves to be loved, and play hard too.

Story
Psssst....hey! You! It looks like your routine could use a refresh. An infusion of canine companionship, perhaps? Maybe someone with an adorable underbite and a love of squeaky toys? What a coincidence! My name is Shelby, and I just happen to have those things going for me. Additional qualifications, you ask? Don't mind if I do! I love to walk and I can keep pace with the best of them -- don't let these little legs fool you! I'll happily hang out with any other dogs in the house, although I prefer my playtime solo. I am an EXCELLENT work-from-home companion, if I do say so myself. Like an ideal work bestie, I'm always game for a trip to the kitchen for a snack or to pop out to the yard for a quick gossip session (plus bathroom break). Otherwise, I will happily stay on task with a bone, squeaky toy, or a nap (being this cute is a full-time job!).I do need eye drops twice a day, but my vision is perfectly fine! And you'll never have to worry about orthodontia, because this underbite? Is flawless. So, what are you waiting for? Bring me home and let me show you what your day-to-day has been missing. If you'd like to take me home, please fill out an adoption application at this website - http://www.animalalliesrescue.org/adoption-application - and choose me, Shelby! My adoption fee is $150 and AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like me for our forever homes. By the time you meet us, we've already been spayed/neutered (if age appropriate) and microchipped. We've been checked by a veterinarian, and we're up to date on age appropriate immunizations against rabies and DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus). We've been tested for heartworm and other tick borne diseases (4DX), and we've started our heartworm and flea preventive medications. Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!

Hi - My name is Pip and I am a new member of the AARF family. I am a Shih Tzu mix, but because I am brand new to these parts, there's not much more known about me or my personality just yet. If you check back a little later, I'm sure my foster parents will have a lot more information to post about me. If you have any questions, though, feel free to send an email to info@animalalliesrescue.org. or if you just think it's love at first sight, please fill out an adoption application at this site - http://www.animalalliesrescue.org and choose me - Pip!My adoption fee is $300.00. If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Olive, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a a backyard breeder. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. The CSAC volunteer said that I am friendly, calm and cuddly. I like to be held, and I do know how to get along with children. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. WE RETURN IF THERE WILL BE AN ADOPTION WHEN EVERYONE IS PREPARED TO ADOPT.  WE ONLY TRAVEL UP TO A ONE HOUR DRIVE FROM ROCKVILLE MD TO PLACE ANIMALS. Newton is a mixed breed we presume to be Shih-Tzu / Poodle mix.  He is around 20 pounds (underweight) neutered and just recently vetted.  Newton ended up in a local shelter completely matted and in pain.  He was shaved down, neutered and had imbecile hernia repair.  He was too stressed out in the shelter so they reached out for a rescue group to help him.  We got there as soon as we can.  Newton is an active, happy, playful dog that gets along well with his new foster brother.  He seems to be energetic and active and a bit mouthy so he would not do well with young children. Look back here for more information as we get to know him better. Newton is a very affectionate companion.  He seems to want to and will climb into your lap to be close to you.  He like to be in touch with his people either on the lap, next to and touching on the couch, and very close in bed at night with his warm body.   Newton's personal webpage: https://hals.rescuegroups.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=20407942 Newton's videos on YouTube: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6X5lkFtFSjMp6_fnKd7UOKB2JI797ftG&si=Kb-7CqQ6f_gyoNLE Newton's Facebook photos: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.7420757568005560&type=3 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
