Bubbles and her sister and brother, Buttercup and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Bubbles has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 9 pounds and is probably full grown now. Bubbles is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Although and three pups are extremely sweet, Bubbles is a most friendly and a super snuggler! She plays great with her brother and sister and we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them. She would do well with older children and we have not had her around cats but we feel like she would be fine with proper introduction. Their pack of dogs is showing her how to be a dog and that people can be trusted. We will be looking for a home for her with other dogs to help her confidence and comfort. She seems fine with cats. She would benefit from a securely fenced in yard for house- and leash-training. One thing Blair has realized is quite enjoyable is having quiet time sitting with her foster dad on the couch. She doesn’t initiate the interaction, but she will relax a bit as they watch TV together. This little lady has loads of potential, all she needs is a chance.
