You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Little Bitty Louie is an Austrialian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) mixed with Miniature American Shepherd. He seems to have gotten all of his physical traits from the Heeler except his size! He was born approximately 6/9/2025, so he is still young but fully grown at about 20 pounds. Louie says this means he is snuggle-size! If you are familiar with heelers, you probably know that they can have a bit of a spicy attitude. Louie's foster home has dubbed him "Midwest Spicy" - if you are accustomed to high energy and intense dogs, Louie would not seem very spicy at all. But he is still a cattle dog, and he needs someone who understands that he thinks life is a full-contact sport and many things need to be barked about. Louie is house trained, crate trained, and loves other dogs. He is reported as being fine with cats (ignores them) and would likely be fine with children, depending on ages and appropriate boundary setting. This boy is highly trainable and loves food, toys, and activities. He always wants to be either snuggling or doing fun things with his human. Louie is no couch potato, but after a decent amount of exercise or mental stimulation he is good at just hanging out. She is 4yo and 2nd breed is Siberian Husky. My family’s living situation has changed. We have many teenage boys and new faces coming & going, and it is stressful for Elsie as she’s fearful of men at first. We have tried working with a trainer. This decision was not easy, but I hope it is the right choice for both of us. Elsie's ideal home has other dogs because she loves to play & snuggle. She can also adjust to living with cats over time, as she now has a cat friend. She is wary of men, but with time and proper introductions, she will warm up to them. She needs a confident & patient human and stability. She is very smart, food motivated, loves to be by your side. She is very alert to her surroundings and can act like a guard dog but it’s just in her temperament. She is fine in a kennel and needs to eat in a kennel or alone. She’s a beautiful, smart, loving girl and deserves the best. I will keep her until she finds home. I will donate the adoption fee to Carver Scott Humane Society.
