Story
Hi! I'm Morrie and I'm a handsome, happy guy who loves to play with everyone including myself. I toss toys in the air and hop around, and playing with the resident dog is so fun! I love kids and get my happy dance going when I see them. I also like snuggling, laying beside my foster mom when she watches TV and rubs my head/tummy, or standing behind you for head rubs, the best!I sleep through the night on a bed by my foster parents without a peep. I dance with glee for my food, it’s my favorite time of the day and my foster parents love to watch the dance I'm doing for that meal, they think it's so darn cute so I change it up for them! Leash walking is now pretty fun! I love walking anywhere you want to walk me. I'm a very curious doggo and notice squirrels, rabbits or ducks, I watch them a bit and pretty easily get back into continuing our walk. I do love playing outside with other dogs. I do my business outside with a few slipups,I am very earnest and eager to please. I am a quiet boy, barking every once in a while when the resident dog is barking, but I don't normally initiate it. It’s so nice I can trust this is a safe place and I'm now showing off my sparkling personality, my fosters love it! I'm a little timid, but I have met some wonderful people! Give me a little time and I will fully open up, I'm well worth your time. I have gone on weekends away when my regular fosters are gone and the temp fosters love me too!Enough about me, thank you for looking, fill out an application and let's see if we're a match! I'm often at adoption events even! See you! Story
Woof! I am planting myself with you!Hi! My name is Garner, but my foster parents call me their big goofball! As you can see, I’m a very handsome pup!!! I loved everything about meeting my three resident dog siblings and have a great time playing with them all day long.I’m quite a chill pup, but I do have my daily zoomies! I love playing with almost any toy that there is! Tug-of-War ropes and squeaky toys are great, but bones are the best!My foster parents say I'm really smart because I know how to sit, lay down, and wait. I've been potty trained since moving in with my foster parents. I’m walking fairly well on a leash and I love being outside but sometimes I get really excited when I see other dogs, critters, and people so I'm working on asking for permission before making new friends. My safe place is my crate!! I sleep in there over night, go in there during the day while my foster parents are at work, and sometimes sneak into there for an afternoon nap even when the people are home.I would love to meet you and make a happy addition to your family!!!--------------------------------------------"Forget Me Not" PromoFor Applications received through 5/31/2024, Warrior Dog Rescue is taking $200 off of the adoption fee of select dogs over 2 years old that have often been over looked. This is reflected in the adoption fee shown below.*Training discounts do not apply*All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedures completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Story
Hi there! My name is April and I’d love to be a ray of sunshine for a wonderful family! Before moving here, I was in Alabama where I gave birth to my eight babies (yes, eight!). They were born outside in the rain which was scary for us but thankfully we were all saved and brought to safety. My journey has not been the easiest, but I am still happy as ever! Here are some special things about me:•I am a social butterfly, I love being around people. I get so happy that my whole body wiggles!•My best feature? My ears! They flop like crazy when I prance and run around!•I’d describe myself as sweet and silly.I could go on but if I have your attention, I’d love to show you that I could be the perfect addition to your family. We definitely should meet!***FOSTER TO ADOPT*** April is in our Foster to Adopt Program because she is not yet spayed. Her spay will be coming up soon. If you are interested in adopting April, please fill out an Adoption Application. All medical needs other than her spay will be the responsibility of the Foster to Adopt home. The spay is covered by the rescue and will be through our vets. Once the spay is complete, the adoption will be finalized. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Hi there! My name is Caterpillar and I’d love to tell you a little about myself. I was born in Alabama but have grown up here in Minnesota since I was just days old. My seven siblings, my mom and I all came here so that we could live safe and happy lives. I’m super cute and my fur is so soft. You will want to pet me all day long! It’s okay though I don’t mind. I lay down next to you and offer you my belly. I love to follow my person around the house because I LOVE people! I will entertain you for hours with my full body wiggle! When I’m really excited I sometimes walk sideways! My foster family says I’m a silly and fun boy! I tuck my head and stand upside down with my butt up in the air! I even have been so happy I did a few somersaults! I genuinely love life! I am playful and love to explore my surroundings. I’m a good mix of independent and enjoying attention. I love toys I can squeak and there is nothing like a good bully stick to chew on. I am working on potty training. I sleep in my kennel at night and when my family is away. I currently live with two other foster pups a one year old and a puppy like me. Stop by an adoption event to meet me. I promise you will love me!❤️🐶Love, Caterpillar --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Hi my name is Dillan! I have been staying with a nice family that has two tall humans, 2 shorter humans, and 1 large furry dog! I have lots of energy, so my furry friend and I love to play. This can be chasing each other around the house or “wrestling” one another. When I am not playing, I enjoy chewing bones and getting pet by the 2 shorter humans. I like going to the bus stop with the 2 little humans because there are other humans there to pet me! I haven’t quite figured out that I should be outside when I go to the bathroom so it is important that I am taken out frequently because I need the reminders! Sometimes I walk in the crate to check it out, but otherwise, I like to be where the humans are. I like to follow them around everywhere! I can't wait to share all of my love with you! Let's meet soon. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Are you in search of a one-of-a-kind serial kisser? Well, look no further, because I, Mandy, am the dog you've been waiting for! I come with a mix of awesomeness and a charming personality that's sure to steal your heart. I can be delightfully laid-back, enjoying those calm moments, or I can transform into a bouncing ball of joy when the mood strikes. Walks and jogs? Count me in, especially if you're by my side. But here's the thing-I love playing with other dogs so much that I often choose their company over toys. Let's talk sunbathing. If your couch has that perfect spot for catching rays, you can bet I'll be there, soaking it all in. I'm a big fan of lounging, whether it's under tables, during dinner time, while you're working at your desk, or even when you're cuddled up in bed. I'm all about being close to my people, and if you choose to adopt me, I'll be all about you! I'm a sociable girl, getting along well with other dogs and kids (especially with submissive/non-dominant dogs). My crate training and potty training with a doggy door are top-notch. I'm a pro at commands like going to my crate and sitting patiently. Now, about my diet-here's the deal: I have EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency), which means my pancreas doesn't produce the enzymes I need to digest food properly. Thanks to some attentive rescuers and veterinary care, we've got it all figured out. I'll need a specific diet and a pancreatic enzyme replacement supplement to keep me feeling great. Think of it as a special appetizer and entree at every meal. EPI won't slow me down, and I'm ready to trade serial kisses for a loving forever home day in and day out. So, how about it? Mac is a sweet boy who knows what he wants! He does love to chase and play with animals smaller than him. Due to this we suggest that he does not go home to a family that has cats or things like chickens. Squirrels watch out! This little guy can move! Mac is a ham, you can't see it in his pictures but he LOVES attention :) He is good with other dogs and happy to be a friend or he could be an only dog and BASK in the undivided attention :) He is a lazy boy and does enjoy snoozing and spending time on the couch napping but at the same time can have his moments where he is ready to go. He is housebroken and does just fine in a crate! If he sounds like the boy for you then don't wait! Story
In a world of fur and joy, there's a Heeler named Brownie, oh so coy, With fur as red as autumn leaves, he's the cleverest of canine thieves. At two, he's full of boundless glee, a furry friend for you and me. Smart as a whip, this Heeler boy, his heart's a treasure, a boundless joy. In tricks and flips, he finds delight, learning with all his canine might. Two years old, his spirit free, a loyal friend, he longs to be. Attuned to you, his person dear, his love's a bond that's crystal clear. Bestest friend, he aims to be, beside you through eternity. Fetch and roll, and sit and stay, he'll dance and prance, bright as the day. With every bark, a tale he'll weave, of loyalty that won't deceive. He dreams of walks and treats galore, his heart, your love, forevermore. Brownie, the Heeler, red and bright, a canine star, a pure delight. In fields of green and skies so blue, he'll be the bestest friend to you. Brownie has the desire to be with his person and would make a great and loving support dog or full time companion. He is focused on his people (and the belly rubs they give!!!)
