Story
Jack is an awesome dog! He's very smart, very high energy, and very lovable. He needs space to run around and be crazy but also needs a happy blanket to snuggle on. He's really a big, sweet dope of a boy. He gets along great with my 9 year old and takes a lot without ever getting upset with him. He loves company and enjoys being around people. He does shed though, so be aware that you'll be vacuuming every few days if that bothers you. The only trouble I have really is that he's kicking up my kid's asthma real bad and now that I can't keep the doors open for him to run and spend time outside all of that hair is just gathering up and making it impossible for my kid to breathe easy. I also took a new job that has me gone a lot which is making things hard on him too. He does not need a kennel and doesn't tear apart the house or anything when you're gone, he just lays around and waits like a good boy.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello, my name is Fletcher, and I'm starting to think that "Good Boy" is my name because my foster mom calls me a good boy all the time! Let me share with you how I shine! I am so chill, and I love to just hang out near you or in the next room just to keep an eye on what is going on, but sometimes I find a quiet spot to chill on my own. I do not jump up on the furniture, unless invited, and have learned that I really love being closer to my people and all the pets and scratches :). And you'll love this! I don't bark when people come in the house, I'm cool as a cucumber, and I don't even bark at the mailman or Amazon delivery trucks, even though my fosters sisters and brother do! I grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis, so I'm used to all the noises. Even though I am chill, I really LOVE walks and am perfect on a leash and have great recall! I know how to sit, lay down, stay and come when called, and love to hear the words "let's go to bed!" I don't even mind my nails being trimmed! I lived with a cat at my prior home, I didn't love him, but we secretly agreed to be okay together. I never have accidents in the house and do great free roam while you are gone all day at work. Even though I sound perfect, there are some things that I need to make sure my next home is the best fit for me. I lived most of my whole life with a couple who loved me very much and trained me very well, but they had a baby, and I didn't like or respond well to all the unpredictable and quick movements. I have a loud and scary alert bark when I don't like things, and it's safe to say, I should probably be in a home without young children. I can also say that I'm not a fan of all the activities of the other dogs in my foster home, especially the boy. I also give them my loud and very scary alert bark when they get near me sometimes, even just passing through. I do not make any attempt to play or be around them, so now they all avoid me. I've learned to co-exist with them, but I really won't make a good buddy for your other dogs. I quite like being by myself. But if you are looking for a sweet, loving, well-behaved, smart, adorable and loyal low-key companion who has just found his love for ice cubes and big sticks (I don't play catch yet but love to tease you with my big sticks!), I would love to call you mine, because I am such a good boy!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
Rusty is a sweet 5 year old boy who loves playing fetch and being with his people. We got him as a puppy from the humane society. He’s very loyal to his family (mom, dad, and 3 kids). Rusty loves running around outside, but is equally content lounging around the house. He’s great in the house when we’re gone and riding in the car. Rusty does get nervous around new people or when people do things unexpectedly. He is triggered by our front door and will charge up to it whenever anyone comes to the door. If his family is with him, he is able to calm to greet visitors. If the visitors open the door unexpectedly, he has lunged out at them-out of anxiety, not aggression. Unfortunately, he had an incident where he bit a friend of our son, outside our door. This has lead us to consider finding a different home. Rusty is a beloved member of our family, and we are heartbroken to be searching for a new home for him. We just don’t feel that our home is the best for him in the long run.

Story
Hi, my name is Lincoln and as you have likely guessed, I'm a real presidential guy! I'm a male, 4-year-old, Red Heeler Mix. An interesting note about my breed, is that Red Heelers, otherwise known as Australian Cattle Dogs, are a medium size dog breed that was originally bred for herding. I am very much a herding dog because I am energetic, playful and intelligent. My past owners had a few lifestyle changes which meant that they no longer had the time to take care of me, so they brought me to Animal Ark to help find me a home that has the time and energy to keep up with an active fellow like me! I have lived with children, dogs and cats but would still need a slow introduction with new cats and dogs.

Story
Tallulah is an approximately 1 year old Queensland Heeler mix, weighing 55 lbs. She is originally from Riverside Shelter in California, where she was going to be euthanized on 10/19 due to kennel stress and space constraints. She is highly intelligent, has a high prey drive, and very energetic. She is very food motivated, listens well, and incredibly trainable. Tally needs an experienced handler who understands and helps her work through her trauma with positive reinforcement (she resource guards food and has trauma around situations where she is restrained (i.e. vet visits, baths, etc)). She also needs someone who is committed to training her and unlocking her potential (she would be amazing at task training for service work, scent training, agility, flyball, hunting, obedience training, etc.) Due to her high prey drive, she is not suitable for a family with cats or other small animals. She is dog friendly, and would do best with dog siblings that are her size (50 lbs+).
