Hiya! Im Minnie, and Im almost 4 years old which I think is the perfect age. Old enough to know my manners, young enough to still zoom around like a goofball when the mood strikes. If youre wondering about my hobbies, I have several very important ones: playing fetch, learning new tricks, getting puppuccinos at the coffee shop drive-thru, and then going on hikes to burn off the whipped cream. Its a balanced lifestyle, you see. My favorite season is winter. Snow is amazing! I love running through it, kicking it up everywhere, and occasionally grabbing a bite or two while Im out there. My foster parents say its hilarious watching my ears bounce when I run. Sometimes only one ear pops open when I look up at you, which apparently makes people melt a little. I dont know I just call that good ear aerodynamics. People also really like my cattle dog spots. They say I look much bigger in pictures than I do in real life. I blame the camera everyone knows cameras add ten pounds! Now, Ill be honest with you about something: sometimes I get a little nervous when meeting brand new people or when Im in totally new places. But give me a little time, some tasty snacks, and a chance to settle in, and I warm up quickly. Once I feel comfortable, Im all about making friends. I especially like kids they give excellent pets and very nice compliments. Im very proud of my potty training. I havent had any accidents since coming to my foster home, and Im pretty good about taking care of business right away before playtime starts. I also love my crate. Its my cozy little bedroom where I nap, sleep through the night, or go when I want a little quiet time away from my feline foster brothers. A girl needs her space sometimes. I know several important commands like sit, lay down, and wait, and right now Im working on shake (although I personally prefer to call it paw). Im also excellent at boop, where I gently touch my nose to your finger. If you happen to have treats, or cheese I will happily learn whatever you want to teach me. Im very motivated by snacks and praise. On walks Im pretty well behaved, though Ill admit squirrels and rabbits are extremely exciting and sometimes I forget my manners when I see one. My foster mom and I are working on that. She even takes me on runs, which I really enjoy. She taught me that when she says straight, we keep running forward, and when she tells me left or right, we turn together. We practice this on walks too its like our own little teamwork game. My perfect day is pretty simple: spending it with you! I just want to be included in whatever youre doing. Some days we can be total couch potatoes watching TV. Other days we can go for a run, a hike, or a nice long walk. And sometimes we could even have adventure days where we go somewhere new! Im still building my confidence in new places, but routines and having my person with me help me feel brave and ready for anything. With a little patience, encouragement, and maybe the occasional puppuccino, Ill be the happiest adventure partner you could ask for. Some people may not like doing a PT regimen, but I don’t mind it at all because it’s more quality time with my people. I would love to find a family that would also bring me to a chiropractor, acupuncturist, and even swimming!! Oh my gosh not only is playing fetch in the water is SOOOO much fun but I am an excellent swimmer! I do not like a lot of commotion and I’m a bit shy around new people especially if they get too close, but I love to be with MY people and I’m getting braver every day! I have a high prey drive so cats are probably not a good fit for me; I’m good with kids as long as they don't try and climb on me; and I do well with most other dogs although I can be a bit selective with small dogs. But mostly, I am easy going! I am a super smart boy who’s not only potty, crate, and leash trained but I know a bunch of commands like “down”, “kennel/crate”, “outside”, “wait”, and a release word “ok”.  Also, I have learned how to go up and down stairs! I can climb 3-4 steps of any surface on my own, and a full flight of carpeted stairs on my own if supervised. Sometimes I need a little help to get started if the landing is slippery like vinyl or hardwood. Ideally my forever home doesn't have a lot of stairs inside and going outside.  I am a happy, playful, and very loving boy who loves giving hugs, kisses, & snuggles, playing fetch in a huge yard, going to the dog park, playing with my toys, going for leashed walks, getting lots of belly rubs, and eating treats especially fruits & veggies! Buddy is an 85-pound bundle of love who has discovered that the very best part of life is simply being with his people. Over the past few months in foster care, Buddy has blossomed into a wonderfully well-mannered companion. Before coming into rescue, life may not have offered him much structure, but he's embraced his new routine with enthusiasm. He's crate trained, happily sleeps through the night in his crate, and will often tuck himself in for a nap because it's become his favorite safe space. Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. My name is Josie. I am a six month old cattle dog mix. I have enjoyed playing with every dog that I have met so far and it sure takes a lot to tire me out! I love to run and play and chase balls. I am a very handsome young adult male Mini Aussiedoodle who doesn’t like a lot of commotion, but I love to cuddle, and I prefer women. Truth is, I am highly sensitive and reactive to ‘stranger danger’! That’s right, I react to people approaching the front door, coming into the house, and even people approaching my kennel. I know…it’s not something I’m proud of but I’m working on it…really, I am!! In fact, foster mom is trying to help me associate new people (strangers) with positive outcomes and I am confident that I will be successful in time but for now it is still a work in progress. In the meantime, mom sometimes puts a muzzle on me and although it doesn’t bother me at all I prefer, of course, not to wear it so my new family will need to commit to working with me on training. Muzzle training may make me look scary, but it allows me to safely meet and work on my training so I can be happy!  After all, consistency, patience, loving encouragement, and LOTS of mental and physical stimulation are the keys to my success!!! I am good with older kids, cats, and other dogs; and my favorite activities include going on my daily leashed walks or car rides; hiking; exploring; eating treats like plain Greek yogurt or pumpkin; playing with small squeaky toys and other dogs; chewing on Benebones; and running zoomies in the yard so the yard at my new home will need to be fenced! Hee, hee!! I also hope to have a small, confident doggie companion who might help me overcome some of my anxiety about strangers!!! By the way, I almost forgot to mention that I am a prodigy…no, really! I know everything from how to do my business outside to a deluge of commands like “sit”, “down”, “come”, “kennel/crate”, “wait”, “leave it”, “outside”, and “go potty”!! Thankfully, I enjoy learning, especially when I have a strong, confident, respectful leader, and I really love pleasing my people!! Anyway, foster mom says that I am the “most affectionate” dog she’s ever met and as hard as I try, I simply cannot disagree with her! Hee, hee!! All I need in my life now is YOU…a patient, unconditionally loving forever family who will not only NEVER give up on me but will commit to helping me overcome my fears!! Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Dove is an adorable, intelligent, and deeply observant 4-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd who truly embodies so many of the traits people love about Aussies. She takes her role as household “supervisor” very seriously—always watching, learning, and keeping an eye on both her people and her dog friends.   Dove came from a small backyard breeder, and because of her past, the world can still feel overwhelming and unfamiliar. She is a more sensitive, fearful dog who will need a very patient and understanding home—but despite her challenges, Dove is genuinely a  happy  girl. Her little tail is almost always wagging, and she clearly finds joy in being part of a home and a routine. While she may not show affection in traditional ways, Dove bonds deeply in her own quiet way. She likes to stay within eyesight of her person, wags when spoken to, and settles nearby just to be close. Her love is subtle, gentle, and incredibly special.   Dove absolutely adores small dogs and will require another small, confident dog in her home. She looks to them for comfort and companionship and truly lights up around them, often adjusting her energy to match theirs in a very sweet, intuitive way.   Because of her sensitive nature, Dove can feel overwhelmed in loud or busy environments and will thrive in a calm, structured home that understands and respects her boundaries.   She is still learning that she is safe, and her adopter will need to meet her where she is without rushing the process. Human touch is still very scary for her, and she is not currently able to be handled, though she has made small, meaningful progress. Because of this, she is a high flight risk and will need extremely secure handling and containment. A secure, fenced yard is strongly preferred, as leash work is currently very challenging for her.   Due to her handling sensitivities and current setup, she is not yet potty trained and will need continued patience and support in this area. She also shows signs of kennel trauma and cannot be crated or confined, but she does very well when left loose in the home and typically settles quickly to rest.   Despite everything, Dove is incredibly smart, curious, and playful. Her little brain is always working, and she loves toys, puzzles, and especially “collecting” treasures around the house—anything from socks to towels to boxes. Her adopter should be prepared for a bit of dog-proofing to keep her safe and set up for success.   Medically, Dove has a fat sensitivity and will need to remain on a prescription low-fat diet long-term, along with using a slow feeder bowl.   Dove will be a great companion for someone who understands and is willing to give her the time and space she needs, she is truly something special. Hi, I’m Charly! I’m a super friendly, gentle, and easygoing guy who loves being around my people. I’m a relaxed sort of fellow who would much rather lounge in a comfy dog bed than spend all day running around. I’m happiest when I’m included in whatever my family is doing, whether that means hanging out nearby or snoozing in my favorite spot. I already know some basic commands and I’m a great walker on a leash. I’m also mostly potty trained, although I may have an occasional accident while I’m learning a new routine. I’m not a fan of being in a crate, so I’d much rather be trusted to relax comfortably in the home. I can be a little vocal when my people first leave the house. I previously lived with my elderly dad, who was home much of the time, so being alone for long periods is something I’m still getting used to. Because of that, I’d do best with a family who is home more often than not. I’m gentle and sweet with everyone I meet, and I think I’d do well with older, respectful kids. I haven’t met cats yet, but my foster family suspects I may do well with them. I’m an older gentleman, so I need a little help with stairs, but that doesn’t stop me from being a happy boy who loves life and loves being part of a family.
