Story
We adopted Cali two years ago from a local rescue when she was a puppy. She is a sweet dog to those she likes. Cali is a shy and anxious dog who bonds strongly with our family and loves to cuddle. She is house-trained and crate-trained. She has had three weeks of professional training as a puppy and knows her commands. She walks well on leash and responds to training cues. She also has a platform that she will place on when told. Cali definitely has anxiety and seems fearful of others. We love her so much and we have tried for over two years but we realize that we are not able to handle her aggression. She has bit before and has tried attacking our cats. She also resource guards her food and toys even with our son. We do have a muzzle when we have company. We are hoping to be able to find her an experienced owner who can give her the help she needs. It would be best if she wasn’t in a home with small children or other pets. Comes with her crate, bed, food, and collar. DNA done.

Story
Abandoned on a mountain and alone, Stitch had to figure out how to survive. She had to find water, food, and someplace safe to sleep out of the wind and rain. She discovered a shelter used by through hikers on the Appalachian Trail and sought refuge there. Sometimes people would come by and if she was lucky they would give her something to eat, if they could spare it. But never enough. She just had to survive one more day, and one more day, and one more day... getting thinner and weaker by the hour. Then a bit of magic happened -- a young man hiking the trail from end to end stopped at the shelter and found Stitch, very weak and malnourished. The young man knew he needed to get her to a rescue, and being both kind and resourceful, he fashioned his rain jacket into a sling and carried her miles to a point where he was able to meet up with one of HART's rescue partners. Thanks to him, Stitch is alive and recovering well from her ordeal, gaining weight and showing what a smart, resilient girl she is. Despite having nearly died from starvation, she takes treats gently, and is doing great learning leash manners and basic commands. She's learning the joys of having regular meals, a soft bed, and people who care about her. Once she is completely recovered, Stitch will make some lucky active person or family a wonderful jogging or hiking companion. HART Homepage: https://hart90.org/ Questions About this Animal? Story
Cherry is a cheerful, sweet 1 year old cattle dog mix. She gets along well with other dogs and loves to meet people friends too! She is fully housetrained and is a very smart and eager-to-please girl, learning "Sit" and "Kennel" in the first 2 days her foster had her! She sleeps through the night in her crate (kennel) and willingly goes in for a nap during the day as well. Like a typical cattle dog, Cherry is energetic, but she manages her energy well by playing with toys and does not get into things that aren't hers. Right now, Cherry is learning to walk nicely on the leash and to wait for "ok!" before her meals. Overall, Cherry is a really good girl who can't wait for her "fur-ever" family to join her on walks, adventures, and playtime! HART Homepage: https://hart90.org/ Questions About this Animal? Story
Fetch has a few things he would like to tell you about himself: “ I'm Fetch, the master of all things fun including some misadventures! One sunny day, I decided to chase a squirrel - classic, right? Well, this was no ordinary chase. We zipped through parks, dodged picnickers, and somehow ended up at a shelter when I took a wrong turn into an open van searching for treats. Oops! But hey, every cloud has a silver lining. I'm now looking for a forever home where my playful, smart, and energetic spirit can thrive. If you love fun and games as much as I do, let's start our adventure together!” Now let us tell you about Fetch. He loves people and other dogs. If you have a dog that loves to play, Fetch would be a great addition. He is house trained and crate trained. When he is tired or there is too much going on in his foster home, he put himself in his crate for a nap. He’s happy to chill in the recliner with you. He would be great for someone(s) who like to hike, take long walks or a jogger/runner. If you are interested in Fetch please let us know. Questions About this Animal?
