With his gorgeous blonde coat sprinkled with cute ticking, he’s as striking as he is sweet. This friendly pup has loved all people, including kids, and soaks up attention from anyone who will give it to him. He generally walks well on leash, with the occasional investigative sniff work when something interests him. He takes treats gently, knows “sit,” and loves to play fetch—he can even catch a ball mid-air like a little furry outfielder! He’ll chase anything you toss, bring it back proudly, and also happily entertain himself with toys he picks out on his own. Trip has energy to spare, a big zest for life, and a heart full of happy. He sleeps like a champ through the night and is doing well with his potty training. Since he is both food- and toy-motivated, this will make him a great candidate for training as he grows. He’s calm, cuddly and affectionate and so very loving once he gets to know you. Lazy River can be a little shy with strangers but his curiosity soon gets the better of him. Lazy River can be understandably a little anxious in a new environment, but quickly settles in, especially when given a calm place to unwind. Lazy River has a lot of puppy energy to burn off, so he will love all activities and play time. He would do well with a family who can help him learn his leash walking- he’s already well on his way in learning his basic doggie commands such as sit, stay and lay down. Come say hi to Lazy River and maybe you’ll find in him the perfect companion, happy to float along where life takes you both.

Born November 11, 2023. Lincoln is a mix bred with heavy blue heeler in him like Bluey the cartoon! We live in McLean VA. Lincoln does not bark much and is a protector / herder. He can often be found just sitting in a herder mode just watching others. He loves to play and run when chased. Lincoln can be nervous around new people but warms up to them quickly. Although anxious at times, he is very attentive to others. Although he has lived in a home with 4 kids, he maybe better off in a home with less children as he often seemed over stimulated. When he has a chew toy, he will resource guard it. Responses well to training with treats. Lincoln is out of the puppy phase, house trained, and well mannered. He does have a tendency to jump to meet others. Needs a family that can give him the attention he deserves. He should have more walks and time to run outside. We want him to have a great home. All vaccines current. Reasons to re home are in rental house now and he needs more attention.
