She's already mastered the words “sit” and “come here,” and is learning “down” and “stay” too. Coco is house trained and is trusted to be home alone without being crated. She’ll sleep peacefully through the night, crated or uncrated, but especially if she's near you! Coco is a bit anxious with the loud sights and sounds of the busy city, so she would do best in a quieter suburban neighborhood and a home with a fenced yard. Coco is on the lookout for her forever home. Story
Hickory is the sweetest boy!!!  This Red Heeler boy pup is one of the sweetest boy pups and his tenderness makes him the puppy who loves being close to his people. When he’s let outside for playtime, his first instinct is to greet whoever is nearby—just to make sure they know he’s there. He can be a little shy at first, but once he realizes you’re safe, he quickly comes out of his shell and shows his affectionate side.   His back story is that he was found with his momma and her 6 puppies, on a country back road in Middle Tennessee, loose and running helter skelter.  This family of momma and 6 puppies were heartlessly dropped off for reasons we will never understand.  Momma is a pure bred Red Heeler called Red Sedona and also seeking a new and Heeler savvy, loving home.  The family was found on Feb. 13th and taken to the local small overcrowded shelter.  Two days later Critter Cavalry Rescue had a wonderful foster mom who helps with litters and their mommas, take them in and get them started on a good path of medical care and human love and socializing.   For a pure bred Heeler, Hickory is on the calmer side and definitely an observer.  At just 8 weeks of age he is only 7 pounds and one day should be a 30-35 pounds smaller Heeler. He would thrive with an active family that has space, a fenced yard and lots of outdoor time spent doing things that satisfies his herding nature and working breed traits.  He loves to explore and would love to have jobs to perform.  He is already showing those classic Heeler instincts by trying to herd the kids around the yard.  Dog savvy children will be fine with this.  After some much-needed playtime, Hickory is happiest snuggling up next to you for a cozy nap.  Because he comes from a highly intelligent breed of dog, you will need to be smarter than him at all times.  He is already catching on to potty training and knows that a crate is necessary for nighttime sleep and containment.  He is so compliant to all of the new training he is being taught.  He loves it.    Hickory is currently being fostered with young kids, large dogs, and a cat. He’s done well with everyone so far, though he’s still a little unsure about the cat and may bark. With proper introductions and a dog-savvy cat, we think he’ll adjust just fine.  If you are interested in adopting this very smart and sweet pup, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and tell us where you live.  We adopt to not only our Tennessee residents where our rescue is located, but we adopt to the northeastern states as well.  If being adopted out of state, he will be ready early April.  If local to Tennessee, he is ready now to continue his training and bonding with a family in a new Tennessee home.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 8, 2026, 9:04 pm

Story
Hartman is a strong little pup in every way.  He is a Red Heeler through and through! Found with his Momma Red Heeler on a isolated country backroad in Middle Tennessee, he was part of a litter of 6 pups who were only 3.5 pounds when found..  Probably 4-5 weeks old.  That was Feb. 13th, 2026.  This little family was heartlessly dropped off for reasons the good humans in this world cannot understand.   The good samaritan who found them was kind enough to bring them to the already crowded rural shelter and within 2 days they were in the care of a wonderful Critter Cavalry Rescue foster home who helps with litters like this.  We have determined that perhaps the litter was born around the first of January 2025.  The story behind this throw away pure bred Red Heeler momma and her puppies will never be known but the future of their story will be shaped by Critter Cavalry's efforts to help raise these puppies in foster homes and find the puppies and their momma find perfect Heeler loving homes. This smart, energetic pup loves to be in the middle of the action and has already started showing off his natural herding instincts—he’s been known to help “round up” the kids in the yard.  Gently but with a purpose.  Some parents need the help and welcome it.  Others might not and the puppy can be shown that humans do not need the herding help.  Hartman was named this because he has a beautiful and perfect heart shaped spot on the top of his head.  As of March 6th he is 8 pounds and one day should be only 35 pounds tops.  So cute!  What his foster mom says, is that he would thrive in an active home, especially one with plenty of space to run and explore. A big yard or property where he can have a job would be a dream come true for this clever boy. Heelers are known for their intelligence, and Hartman is no exception—he’s eager to learn and loves to please his people.   After a good play session, Hartman is more than happy to settle in for some couch time and soak up all the affection he can get. He’s a sweet, loyal companion who enjoys being close to his humans. Hartman is currently being fostered with young kids, large dogs, and a cat. He’s done well with everyone so far, though he’s still a little unsure about the cat and may bark. With proper introductions and a dog-savvy cat, we think he’ll adjust just fine. If you’re looking for a handsome pup who is smart, loyal and ready for adventure—and cuddles—Hartman might be your perfect match!  Please contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    We can adopt to Tennessee residents where he is fostered and we also transport to the northeast as well to families outside of Tennessee.  We transport most weekends.  Out of state adoptions will be ready around April 10th.      PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 9, 2026, 6:34 pm

Story
Rocky’s story began when he was found in a very rural front yard—hungry, alone, but unbelievably sweet from the very first moment. He was taken to the local small town shelter for safety, but an experienced foster took one look at his sweet face and knew this boy needed more than a shekter kennel. She saw something special in him… and she was right. Rocky is a smart and striking 5-month-old Red Heeler mix, about 24 pounds, with the most adorable freckles and an expression that melts hearts instantly. He is affectionate and loves to snuggle just as much as he loves to run and play outside. Rocky enjoys his chew toys and, like most puppies, may occasionally snag a sock or blanket—but he’s doing wonderfully learning what’s his and what’s not. He does great in his crate, is progressing nicely with house training, and is eager to please. He plays well with other dogs and has been around cats in his foster home—curious but respectful, never aggressive. Rocky responds well to gentle verbal correction and truly wants to do the right thing. And when he wakes up? He has the sweetest little yawn that will make you smile every single time. This loving, highly intelligent puppy is ready to grow into a loyal, lifelong companion. If you’re looking for a best friend who will stick by your side for years to come, Rocky may be your perfect match. Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to learn more about adopting Rocky. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm
