If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. CASEY is a beautiful 48# Red Heeler mix. His given birthday is 9/19/24. He has a docked tail and a beautiful, thick coat. He will love the cold weather including the snow. He still pulls a little on the leash because he wants to sniff everywhere he goes but we’re working on that. He is crate trained and loves the other dogs. He has seen my cats and was more curious than aggressive. One hissed and swung at him and he went the other direction. We know nothing of his background. I don’t believe he was a stray off the street. He loves people, affection, and treats. He is at least part Australian Cattle Dog…very smart because of the Border Collie in the background. Can’t tell of any other breed…only a DNA test will tell. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. He absolutely adores every dog he meets. Spotty is still a little reserved around people but has been making huge strides and seems to improve every day! He has gone through professional training to work on self- confidence and is able to go on walks now and trust more than he used to. Spotty is super submissive and needs a home with a very social dog that will hang out and play with him all day. He loves to play with dogs more than anything. Spotty is also house trained and crate trained. He requires a fenced yard as he can get spooked and we don’t want to take chances of him trying to flee. Spotty has endless potential if you give him the time and patience he needs and deserves to come out of his shell! -------- Spotty is estimated to be about 1.5 years old and 45 pounds. He was found as a stray in SC and was completely petrified at the shelter. He sat in a corner shaking and had to be carried just to move out of his kennel. He came to us very nervous and shy but with the help of his canine friends, he is slowly learning to trust and thriving in his foster home. He has also met and done training with our trainer where he is now comfortable going for walks on a leash and exploring the outdoors! Spotty gains comfort from other dogs, so he requires a home with a friendly resident dog to help show him the ropes. Spotty would do best in a home without young children as he is still gets timid around new people and retreats. With time and patience, he will show his new family how goofy and happy he really is. Meet Mooney! He is an incredibly smart, 48 lb, 5.5 year old cattle dog mix who was given up by his previous owner due to her illness. He loves people, playing with his doggie friends and being a goofball. The sofa is his favorite piece of furniture, but he will settle in a crate, on a cool wood floor, lounge in a water trough or snooze in the car. In spite of being nearly middle-aged, he still has lots of bounce and energy to run, jump and explore. He has been introduced to some agility work and caught on right away. Meet SKYE! Skye is a gorgeous 8 month old, 40 pound red and white Australian Shepherd/Collie mix. Her freckled nose. black eyeliner, and fluffy tail with its white tip add to her beautiful looks. She is very sweet and lovable and is crate trained. But at less than a year, Skye has energy, puppy playfulness and excitability. She will need exercise, patience and reinforcement of training so this young dog can become the well-behaved dog she can be. She will do best in a home with active adults and maybe older children due to her jumping. Skye loves to go for walks! After exercise, Skye can also chill out comfortably and will cuddle with you during quiet times. Skye is smart, but, as with any young dog, she will need to continue with some basic training. Skye ended up at a rural North Carolina shelter, and we can only imagine how she wondered why her family did not come find her and take her home.
