Story
In the spring of 2023, we got a call about 4 dogs who were in bad shape and living in the woods a couple of hours from me. We set traps and were able to rescue 2 of the 4. We tried and tried to get the other 2, but we were unable to do so. Some of the local people continued to try to get them, as well, but couldn’t. I am still very sad about having to leave them behind. Chester and Chloe were near death when we rescued them. They were starving, their skin was horrible, and of course, they had every known parasite. They are healthy now. Chloe is still very shy, and I feel that she needs a special home with a lot of love, patience and attention! We do not see any aggression in her. She has been at Blue Ribbon Kennels now for 14 months and needs a forever and loving home so badly. She has never had the opportunity to live inside a house and to be part of a family. Chloe is in Mississippi. When adopted, she will come fully vetted and will be transported by Rescue Riders, a very reliable transporter. All of this is included in her adoption fee.

Story
Robert is a quiet fellow. He is a bit shy, but is easily won over by treats and kind words. He loves cuddling and really enjoys haveing his ears rubbed. Robert likes to explore his environment. He is also crate trained and potty trained. He is working on leash training and is making progress. Robert tried to make friends with the resident cats and but backed off when they hissed at him. He is also doing well with the other dogs in the home. Robery loves to sit next to you on the couch on on your lap if you let him.  He did not get the memo that cuddling is anti-heeler.  Come meet this sweet boy and fall in love.Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org January 24, 2025, 9:50 pm

Story
Meet Tex, a sweet boy of about 9 months. A true cattle dog!! Their foster parents have been very attentive to him and his sister Charlie. It shows in their behavior and personalities. As you can see below, Tex LOVES water!!!! He thinks he is a fish!!! He loves play pools and if there's not a play pool, he will try to get in a 5gal bucket with his front paws. He's very playful and wants to be around people. Loves people! He has done well with our five dogs and a new barn cat. I would not recommend chickens. Sadly he wants to play with them! He would be wonderful in a family setting... We are only asking for transport cost to PA, RI or other states in which we travel to! These are two super sweet kind dogs and will provide your home with unconditional love and joyous laughter. Meet Charlie, a sweet girl of about 9 months. A true cattle dog!! Their foster parents have been very attentive to her and her brother Tex, also listed. It shows in their behavior and personalities. As you can see below, Tex and Charlie really love each other. We wanted to adopt them as a bonded pair but it has proven to be to much. She loves to play pools and interact with people and other animals. Charlie has shown no aggression with the barn cats and they do not seem to bother her at all. She is very playful and wants to be around people. Loves people! She is a more laid back dog than Tex. Charlie has done well with our five dogs and a new barn cat. I would not recommend chickens. Sadly she wants to play with them! She would be wonderful in a family setting... We are only asking for transport cost to PA, RI or other states in which we travel to! IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Bonnie - Bonnie is about 1 year old and 50 lbs. Bonnie is the mom to 5 adorable puppies who are now 8 weeks old so it is time for Bonnie to find her forever home. Bonnie is shy and timid and will require another young and confident dog in her forever home to help show her the way. Bonnie is so very sweet and just needs time to adjust to home life. Bonnie loves to cuddle and enjoys lots of pets. Bonnie enjoys racing around the backyard with the resident dogs in her foster home. Bonnie will need a home where someone is around a good portion of the day to help her acclimate. Bonnie will be spayed on Feb. 4th, she is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. The Adoption Fee is $375.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**
