Story
Daisy is a goofy, clever, loving three-year-old girl. She is the best hiking & running companion - and an avid rock-climber - but she also loves relaxing at home; she likes to make a nest out of her toys & blankets, or to snuggle up with her favourite humans. She can be shy around strangers but she melts when you give her cheese. She is house-trained, potty-trained, and crate-trained. She has never had any problems with digging, scratching, or jumping. She’s up-to-date on her vaccinations and is on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Daisy has been a well-loved member of our family for almost her entire life, and we are devastated to have to part ways with her. She has struggled with dog reactivity and needs a home where she can be the only dog in the family; she is stressed living with our other dog, and we love her and just want her to be happy and successful, even if that means finding her a new family to love.

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $650   The S’mores puppies are a trio of 10 week old Australian Shepherd x Brittany mixes who are ready to serve up adorableness in their forever homes! This litter was surrendered to our rescue as the result of an accidental litter (folks, this is why we fix our pets) and we agreed to help them find their forever homes. This litter is 2 girls and 1 boy. They each have unique looks and personalities which makes them perfect! We expect the puppies to be 40-45 pounds when fully grown, so the perfect medium size. If you’re looking for a sweet treat to join your family, add a S’mores cutie!    Chocolate (F): Chocolate is a cuddly and loving gal who wants to find her people who will adore her! She loves being carried around and snuggled and would love to spend the day curled up in your lap as you scratch behind her ears. She has the most amazing puppy dog eyes that will make you want to give her anything she wants, whether that is more snuggles or endless treats! Chocolate is currently more of a cuddler than a zoomer, but she has amazing puppy energy. She is go go go until she crashes in your lap for a well-deserved nap. Chocolate is super smart and has a keen understanding of what you want from her. She is always willing to shower you with kisses. She would love a home where she can show off her fabulous personality and make everyone fall in love with her goofy and loving personality. She is just so cuddly and fabulous and she deserves a home ready to shower her in affection.   Graham Cracker (F): Graham Cracker is a loving gal who loves giving kisses more than anything in the entire world! She loves running around the house with a plush toy in her mouth before she drops it, climbs into your lap, and gives you all the kisses you could ever want. Graham Cracker is playful in the best way. She shows off her fun-loving personality to everyone she meets, but she is also great at reading the energy of a room and modeling her behavior as needed. She is super smart and has already learned to sit as she is waiting for her meals. This girl is extremely silly while also being one of the most loving puppies in the entire world. She is the entire package all wrapped up in an adorable puppy body. This gal can’t wait to be the crunchy cookie in her tasty forever home! Marshmallow (M): Marshmallow is a fun-loving, playful, and handsome gentleman who lights up every room he enters! This dude loves a good belly rub as well as fetch and tug of war, though he is still working on bringing the toy back once he has snatched it up. As the only boy in his litter, he is used to following the girls around and taking his cues from them, but he has also been great at finding times when he can clamber into an open lap and give you endless kisses. Marshmallow is a playful and energetic pup who loves chasing his foster parents around the house with a toy hanging out of his mouth. As the solo boy in his litter, Marshmallow has learned when to take time away from his sisters to delight in the extra attention he can soak up.     The puppies start their day around 7 AM by jumping out of their pen for cuddles and hugs. They head outside for a morning potty session before they have breakfast around 7:15 AM. They eat again at 12 PM and 6 PM. During the day, they spend their time in the air-conditioned sunroom playing with toys, chasing each other around, and curling up for naps. They love getting cuddles so they each get some individual snuggle time. In the evening, the puppies soak up the cooler air that drifts into the sunroom as they unwind from the day. After one last trip outside for potty, they head into their crate for the night as they curl up together.  The S’mores puppies have been socialized with their resident foster siblings and taught how to be good canine citizens. They have met people of all ages and get along fabulously with everyone they have met. It’s hard to resist when you meet a puppy as adorable as one of the S’mores puppies! They have just started checking out the world around them and would be fabulous adventure companions as they grow up. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss their plans for continued training and socialization. If you want a sweet addition to your home, check out this yummy litter!    The S’mores puppies are only an option for those who have owned a dog of their own in the last five years. Kids in the home should be over the age of 8 years old. July 26, 2024, 2:33 pm

Story
Sara is about 5 years old, and was adopted from a foster family out of Sacramento. She is a very sweet dog who wants all the pet and playtime you can give. She loves walks and a treat at the end of each night, and can sleep in the living room or will crate well if asked. She's a lively girl and loves to give hugs when she hasn't seen you in a couple hours. Sara will thrive best in a home with an equally energetic family! She loves to be with around people!
