Story
Draco is a young 38-pound sweetheart with a great mix of affection and playful energy. In the home, he’s calm, well-mannered, and easy to live with—he loves to be close to his people and is always up for a good cuddle. Outside, Draco enjoys his walks and a little playtime, including the occasional zoomies. He’s smart and responsive, walks nicely on leash, and continues to improve with guidance—especially when something exciting like a squirrel catches his eye. He’s social with other dogs, though a bit enthusiastic in his greetings, and would benefit from continued structure and consistency. Draco bonds quickly with his people and does best with calm, confident handling. He’s house-trained, does well when left alone, and is generally a quiet, easy companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and easygoing companion who also brings a little playful spark to your life, Draco might just be your perfect match. Fill out a questionnaire and a volunteer will be in touch. (AO)

All DPS Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, flea/tick treated, and microchipped prior to adoption.Adoption fee: $650 Meet the Crime Puppies — Felony, Misdemeanor, and Alibi — three 12-14 week old, ~13 lb offenders currently wanted for excessive cuteness, suspicious levels of snuggling, and grand theft of human hearts. Authorities confirm they are repeat offenders… and show no signs of reform.   Rap Sheet: Daily Activities The Crime Puppies begin their day promptly at 0700 hours, reporting to the kitchen for breakfast by 0730. Plates are always cleared of evidence — not a crumb left behind. These suspects are highly motivated by kibble and have demonstrated excellent cooperation during feeding operations.   They serve their overnight sentences in a puppy pen or crate, where they sleep soundly until morning, typically waking only once to file a brief potty report on their designated pads. When weather conditions permit, they are released into the yard for supervised outdoor recreation, including running, exploring, and general mischief.   After breakfast, they engage in several hours of high-intensity play (notably tug-of-rope — a known criminal pastime), followed by a mandatory group nap. Lunch is served around 1200 hours, followed by additional play, another nap, and dinner at approximately 1700 hours. Evening activities include more play, more napping, and the occasional stroller patrol, where they gather intelligence on neighborhood smells. By nightfall, they pile together and sleep like innocent angels… until the next day’s shenanigans begin.   Suspect Profiles   Felony and Misdemeanor are energetic puppies and are always on the go! They are either awake and ready for adventure or passed out from playing so hard. They love playing together and exploring the backyard, wrestling with toys, or engaging in a spirited game of tug with a rope toy or bone. They are not shy at all — even around a big hound dog! Both puppies are very athletic and clever. They're food motivated and eager to please, so training should be a breeze.   Felony Felony is the ringleader — bold, dramatic, and always ready to take center stage. She subscribes to the philosophy of play hard, crash hard, and executes both with impressive enthusiasm. Felony adores hanging with her sister and would happily recruit another playful canine accomplice in her future home.   She is adventurous, athletic, and endlessly entertaining. Her most notable offense? A mysterious distrust of tile floors, which she handles by flattening herself into a full belly crawl like she’s evading capture. It’s a maneuver that keeps her foster family laughing daily.   Misdemeanor Misdemeanor is Felony’s loyal partner-in-crime, but with a slightly calmer approach to her operations. She enjoys wrestling matches and backyard escapades but is also perfectly capable of conducting quiet surveillance — sitting back to observe people or patiently waiting in the pen while others sleep in.   She can entertain herself quietly in the mornings and will often sit and watch the world go by until the action starts. While she loves a good play session with her sister, she is also learning how to slow down and enjoy affection, and she absolutely melts for a good belly rub.   Alibi Alibi is the sensitive investigator of the group — a cuddler at heart with a curious spirit and a thoughtful approach to new situations. He likes to explore his surroundings, but he does so carefully at first, taking time to assess the scene before confidently moving forward once he decides everything is safe.   He has a way of understanding what he should or shouldn’t do when told, but like any young pup, his puppy energy sometimes leads him to test the boundaries just to see what he can get away with. When he encounters something new — a noise, a stumble, or an unfamiliar experience — he may pause to investigate, but he bounces back quickly and keeps going.   Alibi recently had a professional grooming session and behaved like a model citizen, handling the experience beautifully from start to finish. Because he forms strong bonds with his people, he would benefit from continued training to build confidence when left alone. With structure, patience, and reassurance, he is likely to blossom into a very secure and devoted companion.   Final Verdict The Crime Puppies are looking for active homes that are excited about training their new adventure buddy. They're a great option to join another dog in a home or could be your solo BFF.   Sentence: Lifetime companionship, daily laughter, and unconditional love.May 19, 2026, 11:00 pm

Story
Meet Luna 🐾 Luna is the kind of dog who quietly becomes the center of your world — and once you meet her, you’ll understand why. This sweet, gentle girl is fully house trained and has love to give in abundance. She thrives on routine and will happily join you for her twice-daily walks, tail wagging every single time like it’s the best part of her day (because for her, it is). At home, she’s calm, affectionate, and loyal — the kind of companion who stays close and makes you feel safe just by being there. Luna has a naturally protective instinct. She’s attentive, aware of her surroundings, and devoted to the people she loves. She’s not just a pet — she’s a partner. Because she bonds so deeply, Luna does best as the sole pet in the home, where she can give you her whole heart without distraction. She would thrive with an adult or a quiet household that can match her gentle, steady energy. If you’re looking for a faithful companion who will love you unconditionally and greet every day by

Story
Bailey is a beautiful, affectionate 9-year-old with big brown eyes, a winning smile, and the energy of a dog half her age. She loves daily walks, cuddle time, and being close to her person. Check out @its_baileybae to see her in action. She is smart and knows her commands. She loves 2 walks a day but is happy with one solid outing — a neighborhood walk, a hike, or a beach trip all work (she's not a water girl, which keeps her clean!). Get her going with a squeaky toy and she plays like a puppy.Bailey requires a child-free home — she is fearful and reactive around young children. She also does best as the only pet and would thrive with a retiree, someone who works from home, or a person who can bring her along to work.

Pongo is a real ball of energy, with enough enthusiasm to keep you going all day long. Due to his excitement, Pongo can be a little mouthy at times, so you might want to invest in some sturdy chew toys! Despite his playful nature, Pongo is also one smart cookie. He's always eager to learn new tricks and commands, and with the right training, he's sure to be the top dog in no time. However, it's worth noting that Pongo may need some extra guidance when it comes to being around kids. He's still learning the ropes, but with patience and lots of treats, he'll be the perfect family pet in no time. Please call 707-459-4900 if you would like to meet Pongo.

Story
If you’re looking for a truly happy-go-lucky, sweetheart of a puppy, this adorable, fluffy gent is for you! At ~6 months old and 45lbs, Cash is very shy and gets easily overwhelmed when meeting new people; he may even run and hide from you at first, but the moment he realizes you’re safe and just want to give him some love, he puts his big boy britches on and warms up to you, showing you his truly kind-natured, sweet persona. Once he opens up, Cash adores being showered with pets and belly rubs and gazing deeply into your eyes with a puppyish grin on his face, all while soaking up your attention and affection and adding it to his mental confidence meter. The quickest way to Cash’s heart is definitely through another fun-loving pup or pups. He absolutely LOVES loves loves other dogs of all shapes and sizes — puppies and adults, small and giant — and his play style is truly a joy to watch; he’s energetic and interactive, yet respectful and plays quietly, especially for such a youngster. Playtime and just being around other resident dogs is his favorite time of the day… other than naps, of course! Cash accepts treats gently, doesn’t resource guard, appreciates cuddling up with soft toys, and has already mastered the puppy art of basking in the sun, either by himself, with his buddies, or with his human by his side. This adorable, charming fella would thrive in a calm and peaceful home with another dog or dogs to play with. Ideally an active person, couple, or family to introduce him to new noises and new things (slowly…), and who would take him on exciting pack hikes and new adventures! Cash comes from a secluded, serene environment in the woods, so urban settings are understandably very scary and overwhelming for him.
