Hi! I’m Mary, I’m an approximately 5 year American Shepherd female. I am a sweet, very needy, silly girl who loves to go for walks, get affection from people, and just be out and about. Mary came to us with a broken leg which was consulted with an orthopedist. The leg ended not needing surgery and healed on its own! She is ready to go. Mary is UTD, spayed and microchipped. Mary would do best as the only dog as she can be sassy and likes to boss other dogs around. She seems like she scrapped a bit with dogs in the past but once she meets a dog, and builds trusts she’s great and will hang out. Mary is NOT good with cats and will chase. Mary’s needs: -time -a secure fenced yard -active or wanting a companion around the house -work on basic training -has no other pets but maybe a mellow other dog NO CATS Mary is super cute and full of personality but needs some work. She can demand bark for attention and be very needy. This has gotten better but she can do it with new people. She just really wants attention and can’t get enough of it. She is good with all people. We rescued these under age pups on 4/29/23 at 5 weeks old from a distant shelter. 2 boys and 2 girls. All are eating slurry mix. All are doing great and love their food. All are lovable and very sweet. They are now in their 2nd foster homes at 6 wks old and learning. Annie is playing with the foster home's maltipoo. All are lovable and very sweet. We are guessing their breed mix. They may grow to medium adult size. 4 pups will be ready May 20th when they are 8 weeks old and get their vet care. More info. to come. We think they are Mini Australian Shepherd and maybe Kelpie mix. They may grow to about 35 lbs as adults. Miniature Australian Shepherds are just like the beloved Australian Shepherd breed except that they are a more compact size. Though physically smaller Mini Aussies still have big personalities and abundant energy. May 19th Update: Astro is a sweetie. He likes to have a snuggle and get a belly rub right after a nap and before he goes potty and loves to be held. He loves to play with foster home’s small dog and be outside in the backyard until he gets tired out. He’s also very curious and will nibble on anything he can especially when he starts getting bored. Astro is a sweet loving boy loves people but will need a home that can give him proper training to direct his energy and provide frequent attention. Def loves a belly rub and rolls over for them and loves to snuggle. but - he is super spunky and playful! Has a ton of energy and will run and run in the yard with our other dog - he is almost faster than my 1 year old retriever (who is admittedly a bit slow and goofy) He does very well in his crate and loves to play with my golden retriever. He also leaves my dog-savvy cats alone. He is working on housetraining and is easily redirected when chewing. He is in a temp. foster home until 5/24/23 and will need another foster home if not adopted.May 29, 2023, 1:30 am
