We brought him home when he was just 7-8 weeks old, and he has been part of our family ever since. He was born in May 2025 and is now a little over a year old. He is a Pit Bull/American Bully, Australian Shepherd, and Australian Cattle Dog mix, about 40 lbs. He is a strong, playful, energetic young dog who loves attention and being around people. He has never bitten anyone and has no bite history. Like many young, high-energy dogs, he loves to chew on things and still needs consistent training, plenty of exercise, and mental stimulation. We feel he would thrive with an active and experienced owner who has the time and space to give him the attention he deserves.

Once you are in his circle, he is a velcro companion who loves belly rubs, short backyard fetch sessions, and watching over the home from the top of the stairs. Professionally trained with solid recall and heel foundations, he is crate trained and fully conditioned to a basket muzzle for vet visits. At this stage, he enjoys an easy balance of yard play and quiet senior lounging. Due to strong protective instincts and a defensive bite history, Tucker needs an experienced, adult-only home. He is reactive to strangers entering the home, tight spaces like elevators, and direct reaching hands, requiring crating or separation when visitors arrive. He plays well with small-to-medium dogs but fears large breeds and chases outdoor cats. 09/08/26 14:28Notes from the foster:Dalia settled into our home surprisingly quickly and has been such a sweet companion to have around. At home, she is calm and easygoing. She is not destructive and has shown no food or toy guarding. At night, she settles down nicely and sleeps quietly through the night.Dalia is also incredibly smart and very food motivated, which makes training her both easy and fun. She learned “sit” and “down” by her second day with us, and by day three, she had already picked up “paw” and “high five.” She also knows other commands like “come” and is a quick learner who seems to genuinely enjoy figuring out what you’re asking her to do.One of the cutest things about Dalia is how much she loves her squeaky stuffed toys. She’ll happily play with them on her own, and sometimes she’ll pick out a favorite and proudly carry it over to show her humans. Once playtime is over, though, she has no problem settling back down. She is perfectly happy just relaxing near her favorite person and keeping you company. She absolutely loves belly rubs and head scratches and could probably stay there getting pets forever.We also have a cat at home. Dalia has been curious about the cat, but she respects the cat’s boundaries and backs away when the cat asks for space rather than chasing. With proper introductions and supervision, I think she has great potential to live happily in a home with a cat.Outside, Dalia does not chase cars, squirrels, or birds, and she has been very good about leaving random things on the ground alone. She can be a little nervous when first getting into the car, but after a little while, she settles and will quietly sit or lie down for the ride.And she really is a beautiful dog. One of her eyes has the prettiest little crescent of blue in it, and her coat almost shimmers when the sunlight hits it at just the right angle. She somehow manages to be both gorgeous and goofy at the same time.Overall, Dalia is a very sweet, affectionate, and intelligent girl who settles beautifully into a home. She loves being close to her people without needing to be entertained all the time. Zoey is an enthusiastically friendly four year old medium sized dog who is likely some kind of terrier mix. She's not shy at all with new people and is very energetic- she doesn't necessarily need someone very experienced with dogs but does need someone who can regularly exercise her more strenuously than simple walks. She seems to understand the concept of fetch and loves playing with toys. She gets along with the two dogs she currently lives with but it is unknown how well she would interact with cats. She's very cuddly and loves attention! Her human passed away and had no known relatives so she needs a new forever home. She's very attentive to the humans around her and seems to be constantly looking for a job to do so she would probably do well with agility training or as a running buddy or farm/ranch companion. Riley was on the SASA PTS list Sat. 5/13/24 at 4:30 pm so we tagged him to save his life. He was a shelter staff favorite. Riley is a super sweetie dog and people friendly once he meets. He loves to play then calms and lounges. He loves hanging out and playing with other dogs. He has learned basic training and easy to train. He's a pleaser. He already has learned to sit and wait for treats only gently taking the treat after the release command. Riley is very pretty and unique with one blue eye. Donations are appreciated to help us pay for his emergency boarding until we find him a foster home. 2/14/25 update. Riley is finally in a foster home. Doing great and loves following their other dogs. He loves parks and going hiking. He would do best in a home with another dog buddy but doing fine in a foster home now as only dog that has WFH guardian. When they first took him in he was very nervous and timid but once comfortable he feels safe and lovable. Lyle did great at our showcase events with other dogs around. Now he is learning happy and healthy. His coat is better and softer. Eating healthier and fresh foods which makes a huge difference. He is house trained and crate trained.
