We adopted Chutney at the SFSPCA in 2023. She is now 3 years old. She was always a shy dog, smallest in her litter when we got her, and under fed. Her shyness disappeared with us, her family, but she is very anxious around new people, particularly men. We have two young children, two daughters in their 20s and our house is like grand central - friends over, new people, play dates and we travel a lot. Chutney has to be medicated because this is the worst possible environment for her fear and anxiety, and our only dog sitter who has known her since puppyhood is moving. She needs a quieter home with only adults, definitely a female primary owner, and lots of exercise. Once she knows a person she adores them (especially if you walk or run her) and is very affectionate. She loves attention, getting pets, is highly food motivated and wants to please, so is well trained and very trainable.

Draco is an energetic short-legged guy who weighs 36 lbs. At one year old, Draco is still a young guy who will benefit from steady, solid training and an active home. Draco is very affectionate and loves being close to his people. In his foster home, Draco is a perfect gentleman, never chewing on things he shouldn't and sleeping through the night without issue. He also does well in a crate. We're not sure of Draco's breed mix, but he definitely has some herding breeds in there, which means he will need a good amount of daily mental and physical stimulation. He would likely do best in a home that has herding breed experience or has done their research. Draco does well with other dogs, as long as they are ok with his rowdy play style!

After his rescue, he lived in a local shelter for three years but couldn’t find a home in Korea. After hearing his story, we brought him to our boarding house, knowing that a loving family is waiting for him in North America. His forever home is out there, and he is ready to find it. Personality & Behavior: Camper is a wonderful Border Collie with a sweet and gentle personality. He has medium energy, much calmer than a typical Border Collie, making him well-mannered and easygoing. He is social and friendly, not shy around strangers, and he gets along beautifully with other dogs. Camper is never dominant or aggressive; he is always polite and affectionate. Among people at the shelter, he is one of the sweetest and most popular dogs, loved by volunteers for his friendly and gentle nature. Daily Life & Habits: Camper is well-behaved both indoors and outdoors. He goes potty outside and is easy to care for. He handles bath time and car ride well, and walks nicely on leash, though he sometimes gets excited by new sights during walks. He does not like being caged but has shown no signs of separation anxiety or destructive behavior. Camper is simply a sweet, well-mannered boy who makes life easy and enjoyable. Health & Diet: Camper has been on regular parasite prevention since his rescue and has had full veterinary checkups. He is dewormed, microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines.
