Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Ginger.  This sweet girl is about eight years old.  She is a Beagle/Chihuahua mix with short hair that does not shed or need grooming. Ginger is spayed, up to date on her veterinary needs and weighs a trim 17 pounds. She is house trained and walks well on a leash but does not show the need to go outside often as she is very comfortable lounging in the house.  Ginger gets along very well with her other dog friends and does not mind cats,  She is good with children and very affectionate once she is familiar with people.  Her experience has made her quite resourceful and she will 'ask' for extra treats so she can hide them for a rainy day along with other treasures she may find.Ginger loves hopping up on the couch to snuggle with her foster Dad.  She also enjoys chilling by herself.  She would thrive in a quiet household with another dog to be friends with.    Ginger would be a loyal and loving companion in a relatively calm environment with few people. As her foster, she has been a true pleasure to have and watch her blossom into a very happy furry friend.  She would be a great dog for a low key person.   Ginger does have a treatable condition called Polycythemia Vera.  This is a condition that causes too high of a red blood cell count.  The treatment is blood letting every 13 weeks.  With this simple treatment, Ginger will lead a normal happy life.  If Ginger's adopter continues to use our veterinarian, there is a grant set up to pay for the treatment of her condition.  She exhibits no symptoms from this condition.   Can you find it in your heart to help this good girl?  She will love you with her whole heart.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 3, 2026, 2:05 pm

Story
Sup, humans? I’m Pete. Let’s get one thing straight: I’m house trained, crate trained, and basically perfect (I don’t let it go to my head… okay, maybe a little). I know my name, I know commands, and I know how to get all the attention I deserve. I’m great with kids, I tolerate other pets (but I do expect polite introductions), and I love hanging out, whether it’s chilling on the couch, stealing your spot on the bed, or supervising your snack time. Speaking of snacks… yeah, I like those a lot. Don’t judge. So, if you want a smart, sweet, cuddle-loving sidekick who will make your life way more fun, I’m your guy. Honestly, who could resist this face anyways?

Story
Murphy is a 1.5 year old sweet girl. She will be glued to your hip at all times and loves to cuddle and give lots of kisses. She is house trained and crate trained. Has been around cats most of her life and seems to do well with them (although she likes to tease them). She tends to be nervous around new people but warms up quickly for the most part. Murphy loves a good bone and will tear up the toughest chew toy in no time. She loves her walks and will stop to sniff just about anything. She has grown up in an apartment so a new home with a backyard where she can run and play would be best for her as she tends to be pretty energetic. All around murphy would be a great addition to your family.

Story
Samwell Tarly (aka Tucker) is back and looking for his forever home!  Samwell Tarly (knows Tucker) is a 10yo 20lb Boxer mix who was returned to us through no fault of his own. He is a polite, quiet boy who is house and crate trained, great on the leash and in the car. He has done well with dogs and children, greeting potential adopters with a friendly wag of his tail.  After 24 hours with him in his new foster home, we have learned many things about this sweet boy! 1. He is very well trained! He knows “sit”, “stay”, and “shake” and I’m sure there are even more!  2. He LOVES to be outside and to go for car rides!  3. He is such a smart cookie! He alerts for the bathroom and knows when it’s time to eat!  4. He has a huge heart and the softest ears! He’s a great snuggler!  5. He would make a perfect first pet for someone! Samwell is our first foster (and first pet) and he has done such a great job! He is still getting acclimated, but he’s been such an easy pup!December 1, 2025, 9:29 am

Story
Hi, my name is Skyler.  Foster mom says they named me that because I got hit by a car and went flying through the sky. Just kidding. I did get hit by a car and had a fractured hip and scapula. I also had nerve damage in my foot. When I first got here, I would drag my paw so foster mom was calling me flapper. She said it was because my Paw would just flap flap flap. Then she would take my paw in her hands and rub it like a genie’s lamp while saying “come on flapper, come on flapper”. I don’t know about you but that doesn’t seem medical to me. But, whatever something is working. Foster mom says I’m a resilient little guy cause I’m pretty much all better now and ready to find my forever. I still have some nerve damage in my foot but the vet says it’s okay to find my family. When you meet me you will see that I still favor it a bit, but I’m getting better every day. I don’t let it get me down, I just keep on moving. I do have to say I’m a pretty good dog. I don’t poop or pee in my crate. I clean my plate every time. I don’t do my business in the house, as long as you let me out frequently and I can be trusted overnight. I don’t usually mess with stuff that’s not mine either. There was this one time when I got mom‘s phone charging cord. She didn’t get mad though. She just looked at me and said “what were you thinking”. I looked right back at her like “duh, I’m a dog”. I was just confused. I play well with the other dogs and even share my bones. She said she wishes she could keep me around, but she’s already got too many dogs and she really does. We have to play like the floor is lava and jump from the couch to the chair to the bed because there’s hardly any room to walk. I love playing with all the dogs here, but it really would be nice to have a little bit more room to play and more personal cuddle time. My compact size means I won’t hog all the bed at night. If you think you might be my person better get online now and put your application in. The sooner you get approved the sooner we can start our forever together.    March 4, 2026, 7:08 am
